The item arrived in a timely fashion and packaged in a professionally. I purchased this part to fix a friend's broken iphone. The screen brightness, color saturation, and touch sensitivity are identical to the original display. I am not sure about what other people are referring to with regard to screen brightness. They must have not attached the flex cable connectors properly during the installation. You should hear a click when the connect seats correctly on the contact points. The only problem i had with the part was putting the lcd back into the iphones metal frame. Took a little muscle but i was able to get the display back in without damage to the lcd. A trick i used was to get most of the display in..and flip the phone over so the lcd lays flat on the table and slowly apply pressure to the back casing and at the corners until the lcd fits in flush. Overall I am very happy with the results of the repair and this part has performed flawlessly.

This screen came in a well packed plastic material which protected the screen from any damage when shipped. This screen looks like it is OEM and it was made by Apple. I did not have any problems installing the screen although there are no instruction how to install the screen but if you go to iFixit dot come you can find a step by step picture guide there. After installing the I turned on the phone the screen was flicking and distorted but after holding the Home and Power button which reset the iPhone the screen worked perfect. So if you have that problem just reset you iPhone by doing that. The screen fit prefect on my iPhone 5. I would recommend this screen and you should buy it and don't worry about the other reviews they must did not do something right because it is easy to install.

Note to buyers: If you are a novice tinkerer, I would suggest going with a product that includes the small parts and camera. It will save you a ton of hassle and frustration. I ordered this LCD replacement and opted for 2-day shipping. The item came on time, though it was not shipped same day...I have installed over 100 iPhone screens, and I know what I am doing when it comes to screen replacement.This screen is not an "A" quality part. It is not an OEM Apple sanctioned part, and it is of poor quality. The markings on the flexcables tell it all.Well, I went against my better judgement, and decided to install the screen. I carefully transplanted the home button assembly, the LCD tray, and the camera/Mic/speaker. On OEM screens there is a clear plastic housing for the front camera. This screen was missing that part... It was also missing several other small plastic parts.After installation, the LCD looked okay. I don't know if it is retina or not. However, my problem is the digitizer is really bad. It functioned slowly with dead spots in the digitizer.I removed the screen, inspected the contacts, and reinstalled.. Same result.I removed the screen and put it in a different working iphone 5. Exact same results.Based on my experience, I do not recommend this item. I emailed the seller yesterday, and I have not heard a response.

The touch screen and keypad arrived on time and well packaged. The keypad and glass seems equivalent to the factory supplied assembly. Inside the kit contents was contact card with a phone number to help individuals who may be challenged on the installation procedure or may have questions about the product installation.The installation went well with no problems. I recommend looking at You tube procedures before and during installation. The procedure takes time and the component parts can be fragile. Be cautious to ensure that the screws removed do not get lost. Take your time, work in a well light area with a large flat surface and you can be successful too.

First off, let me say if this is not clear in the product's description (which it is): THIS IS NOT AN OEM PART.With that said, here's what I like about this part: It's cheap, monetarily speaking. It also comes with all the tools you would need to get the job done, mostly--a new razor blade, though not recommended, is extremely helpful with the initial prying to separate the display from the frame. If you are replacing your own display and don't want to spend (at the time of this review) $100+ for a new assembly, this will do the trick.What I don't like about this part: the part I received felt like a refurbished part. There were fingerprints present on the digitizer (easily cleaned off, but shouldn't have been present nonetheless), and there are some noticeable waves present when the display is on and turned at an angle, although it has to be a pretty steep one (this may be a result of poor installation, but I've replaced several of these and I doubt that's the case)All in all, if you want to cheap part to replace your damaged assembly, don't be afraid to buy this one. The seller is prompt to contact you (I had some questions and they answered within one business day) and the part works. Don't be a jerk and try to use this to replace someone else's assembly though, especially if they pay you--use the OEM part for that!
