I was a little skeptical about these bits vs. twist bits in such small sizes but they really do a great job. I usually use cutting fluid to extend bit life and they cut a clean hole with very little wabble as you drill. Very thin metals are subject to the bit grabbing the material if you don't keep the RPM's up and the pressure you have to apply has to be watched but overall, a great alternative to twist drills.

There is nothing like a Hougen cutter. Cuts through steel 10x faster and much cleaner than any twist drill. I have a Hougen magnetic drill and annular cutters for heavy duty projects, but I was incredibly pleased with how well these worked on a Dewalt 20v drill. Use cutting oil, heavy down pressure (until you’re close to break thru) and low drill speed for best effect and longest cutter life.Good seller. Kit arrived quickly and in perfect condition.

Haven't had this product for very long, but I have cut 150 holes with the 5/8 inch cutter with no issues. The last hole is as nice as the first and the plug ejector is a time saver.

These hole cutters work great. They are made well and make cutting, many holes in 16g mild steel a breeze.

Modified the Hougen 02608 adapter by enlarging the 1/4" hole to 0.397' and altered to 3/8" hex.Enlarged the hardened adapter hole by using carbide drill bits from 0.26563 (17/64") to 0.397 (17 drill bits) then used a 3/8" hex push broach.Replaced the existing set screw to a 5/16-24 x 5/32" long.Hougen weldon 3/4" shank is exactly 0.7493" O.D.

RotaCut cutters make clean cuts in sheet aluminum, just the thing for manually laying out and cutting instrument panels using a drill press.
