Naked2 Basics Matte Eyeshadow Palette - 6 Cool Neutral Shadows

Love this pallet. Soft colors - neutral. Not too much red undertone. Smooth application.

This is the best neutral eyeshadow palette I’ve used. The consistency, pigmentation, colors, ease of application and blending are superior. In mist palettes, I use two of the colors and end up throwing the remainder out, but I like all of the colors in this one. This is the first eyeshadow I can honestly say does a fantastic job on eyebrows, also. Not only does it fill in well and look natural, it seems to tame and smooth the brows at the same time, and lasts until I take it off with eye makeup remover at the end of the day. It’s interesting that one or two of the colors look much darker than expected when applied, but it doesn’t bother me. The one thing that is a drawback is the value— it is a bit overpriced for this truly mini palette.

This is my favorite eyeshadow. It is my go to. I was running low on it and for a while I couldn’t find it, but then I but I did.

Gorgeous pallet, light and compact for a smallish purse. Exactly the colors I want and look great... However, there is a lot of fallout from the powder. Plus you have to reapply to get enough coverage on your eyes. Definitely have to tap off makeup brush a lot and clean up under eyes when done. Since I got it on sale, Still debating if it was worth the price...

This pallet is beautiful! I love the matte, natural colors. It’s difficult to find shadow that doesn’t have shimmer/glitter (which I’m not a fan of) The case is very pretty, and includes a nice sized mirror inside.

Will always love the original NAKED palette colors!

I’ve tried A LOT of neutral palettes, and definitely consider the Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics palette to be a staple worth investing in. In fact, when they went on sale during the Black Friday/Holiday season, I got a couple as gifts for some of the emerging makeup enthusiasts in my life! Here’s what I love about it (and some considerations for if you’re trying to decide if it belongs in your makeup bag!) What makes it a yes for me: ✅ The Perfect Cool-Toned Neutrals – Unlike warm-toned palettes that can pull orange, these shades are beautifully taupe-based, making them flattering for a wide range of skin tones. These shades work for both my every day eye for the office and more dramatic but sophisticated smokey looks. ✅ Velvety and Blend-able – The mattes are buttery smooth, non-patchy, and layer like a dream (No chalkiness or fallout issues!) ✅ Foolproof for most Skill Levels – Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, the shade range is versatile yet simple, and totally complementary making it almost impossible to mess up. ✅ Travel, Transition and Day Bag Friendly – With a full range of color in a compact package, this one stays in my travel makeup bag— not just for intermittent touch ups, but as a game changer to easily alter my look if I’m going from the office to happy hour (again, these colors blend and complement each other well! I layer Frisk, Skimp and Undone for my day look, and blend out the skimp with a little more undone for evenings eyes!). It’s also my favorite to travel with when I want to travel in comfort, but need to do a quick eye getting off the plane on business travel. I know some reviews shared that it broke easily, but for me, this palette has been sturdy and no fuss rolling around in my makeup bag (picture attached) A Few Things to Note: ⚠️ If you prefer warm-toned shadows, you might find this palette leans too cool. (If that’s the case, the Naked Basics 1 might be a better fit!) ⚠️ There’s no shimmer or highlight shade, so if you like some glow, you may want to pair it with a separate shimmer. (My splurge that stays in my bag with this palette is Urban Decay moon dust in Lithium) Final Verdict: For me, it’s a staple palette that’s reliable, blendable, and perfect for everyday wear. If you love neutrals with a cool, sophisticated undertone, this is a 5-star must-have!

I should have read the description a little more thoroughly, but this palette is very cool and does not go with my olive skin tone at all. I tried the darkest color and it was fine, but the brown next to it is very muddy and just the ugliest color. I immediately wiped it off my lids and started over. Very disappointed, but they do mention is a COOL Neutral Shadow palette. Just be prepared for muddy colors for the 4 colors on the right side.
