Highly recommend for beginner art curators.
Update: Added photos showing how I used this laser level to hang a frame in my bedroom. For my original thoughts and setup from the living room, see the review below. As a novice when it comes to picture hanging, I didn’t want my first laser level purchase to be super high end - I wanted to get one that was decently priced, by a reputable brand, and one that had a slimmer profile to for easy storage. Needless to say, I’m really happy I purchased this leveler. It pushes nicely into the wall, creating a very small hole pin that is easy to fill when completed. I must have drilled this leveler into my walls at least 5-10 times - as you can see with my pics, everything came out looking great, especially since my main wall with the three art panels all use D-rings (4 nails per panel - meaning that it is critical to ensure your level and aligned all the way through to achieve the optimal hanging look). — Curated by Jaded John | #OrderlyCleanDesign

Once you use one, you will wonder how you got along without it!
I got this laser level because I had to hang about 3 dozen paintings and pictures in our repainted living room. My only real complaint with this particular device is the mechanism that allows it to be affixed to the wall and that is a nail mount that is housed in the swivel base. Unfortunately, this will produce a hole in your wall that will need to be repaired at some point. The laser is accurate, bright enough in most cases and extends in a fine red line for a good distance. You can solve the nail pricks with a "command strip" attached to the base of the devise. Either way, for the price, this is a good value and will not disappoint!

Best leveler I’ve owned!
I love this leveler in hanging pictures. This is my second one since my son took off with the first one. And it’s just as good as my old one. It’s accurate. It’s dependable, and the first one I have for years so I expect this one to last just as long. Also if you tend to drop things at times. This leveler holds up. It takes a beating from me and keeps going. And it’s easy to see.

Good Unit, One Terrible Flaw
It gets the job done, and it's somewhat cheaper than other options. What I can't get my head around is why the nail on the underside is not removable. I don't always want to poke holes into my wall so this thing can swivel. Sometimes (most times), I just want to get a level value and extend that evenly across a wall so I can mark it with a pencil. The way this thing is designed, you have to swivel the bottom-side nail out and punch it into your wall. If you don't do this, the nail doesn't rest flush within the unit, and it prevents the unit itself from resting flush against the wall for your leveling tasks. ... This kind of renders it useless as you're left unable to rely on the leveling bubbles. Break the nail out. You'll be happy you did. After that, it works like a charm. Still, such a flawed design deserves mention.

Saved so much time
I recently purchased wall decor for my living room and hallway. Hanging pictures, mirrors, wall decor is such a pain. It usually takes me several tries before getting everything lined up. By the end of it, I'm frustrated and my wall looks like a giant slice of Swiss cheese. This little gadget was the best buy for this type of project. I saved myself hours of trying to get all my wall decor to line up. It does have a little nail that secures the laser to the wall and it has a built-in leveler so you don't have to worry if the line is straight. Simply follow the red line, put in the nail/s, hang the pic or mirror, and done! Very simple to use and a "must have" if hanging wall decor isn't your best skill.

Nice simple basic laser level. Not auto leveling. Pin works great for attaching to wall.
Several reviews stated that the pin stuck out and couldn't be removed. They must have been earlier units. The one I got has a magnet that holds the base on. You can use it without the base or with the base and the pin out or flip the base over and the pin will stay in. Laser is bright enough in no light and low light. With the pin striaght out it pins into the wood or drywall for simple hands free operation. Pin hole is small enough; see picture. The laser shoots far. Depending on light conditions. In the pics, you can see it shoots the full lenght of this 30' wall and can be seen on abutting wall. I used to have a little one like this years ago and paid a boat load for it. The nice thing about that one is it had two smaller pics for attaching it to the wall; but it didn't rotate like this one. After removing it you couldn't even see the two pin pricks. Anyway I can't find that one so I bought this one. For the price easy decission.

Gets the job done with some effort
Its a cheap handy tool for me. It helps greatly with hanging photos and shelves. As other reviewers mention the little nail is in the way and pointless. They all mention its dumb to put an extra hole in the wall. What I do however is poke that hole where I want the first picture to go, then mark the rest of my spots. Then its not an added hole, its just where I put my first nail. The thing I don't like about it though is its not strong enough to hold the level in place. I cant place it on the wall and just walk down the line otherwise it swivels on its own or falls off the wall. The design would have been much better with a suction cup or something that holds better.

B&D Laser level actually shines!
The red laser light travels along the surface of what you are against. So many other, lessor, crappy products have the light beam several cm above the surface - making accurate positioning impossible. This unit is highly accurate for leveling (2 bubble level indicators) either horizontal or vertical. Easy to hold, simple to use - it just works.

Good value level
I use mine (2) on jigs to assist getting compound drill angles correct on my stool and chair seat blanks and these work great for that.

Bajo costo y efectividad
