Excellent part I just ordered the wrong part

Great value! 2nd time purchasing these reducers. The 1st set have been in use for two years out in my field as part of the irrigation system. I do recommend sanding the threads lightly as the edges are slightly rough. Otherwise your Teflon tape will bunch up and could leak. Standard procedure for just about any NPT threads nowadays.

Use this for a deep well pump. It threaded in really smooth for the first two or three turns then got bound up. Not sure if it's the pump or the reducer

Good quality, fair price. Using this to permanently screw into a cast iron well pump so that as the pump ages and the cast iron treads rust I will still have the undamaged stainless threads to use with PVC fittings. With my old pump the cast iron threads got so bad that I could no longer get PVC fittings to seal without using epoxy on the threads.

The reducer bushing is beautifully made and the stainless steel feels very durable. Unfortunately, it’s too large for my smaller water pump, so I wasn’t able to use it. Quality is good, but make sure to check your measurements before purchasing.
