AXE Messy Look Hair Paste Flexible 2.64 oz (Pack of 2)

I grabbed this AXE flexible hair paste 2 pack to have a simple everyday styling option and it has worked really well for me. The texture is creamy, not sticky, so it is easy to work through my hair without clumps. A small amount gives a nice messy, textured look that still feels touchable instead of hard or crunchy like gel. I like that I can restyle it during the day with my hands if I need to without adding more product. The hold is a solid medium in my experience. It keeps my hair in place for most of the day while still looking natural, especially with shorter to medium length styles. The scent is that typical AXE fresh, slightly cologne type smell, noticeable at first but not overpowering once it is in. It also washes out easily in the shower, so there is no heavy buildup. The 2 count pack is convenient and saves a bit of money compared to buying one at a time.

I forget things a lot when I travel, most often toiletries. Trips to the nearest drugstore near my hotel are not unusual. More often than not the local drug store does not have the brand that I normally use at home. So you try something new, for good or for bad. I was in need of some sort of of matte styling paste/cream this Axe product was the only thing on the shelves that fit the description. I was definitely suspicious , I opened the lid expecting to be blasted by the scent of backwards baseball hats and puka shell necklaces, thankfully the scent was innocuous. Turns out the axe paste works as good or better than the old product I used and costs half as much.

Makes my hair easy to style. I wet my hair a little bit before using. It has a nice smell to it. I have no complaints about it at all and I will keep using it and buying it.

Axe makes a great line of products but this hair paste is aces. I have shorter hair, about 2 inches long, and like to lay my hair forward a bit, spiking the very front and teasing a bit of the rest for a controlled messy look. This paste makes my hair very pliable allowing me to place any piece or sections of hair where I want them, and holds it there for hours. Sometimes a work day last 15 hours and it holds up no problem. And it holds up without my baiting feeling like it has super glue in it. Fixing my hair is simple, wet my finger tips, adjust, and the paste resets. Also smells good.

Everyone seems to hate this, but I think it works great as a light hold hair product, which is what I was seeking. I don't actually wear a messy hairstyle, I wear a typical part/combover for my job, and I like this product because it doesn't leave my looking like my hair is wet all day and I don't feel like my hair has turned into a helmet. Later in the day I can brush it out a bit and it has a natural look but retails a light hold. Plus I love when ladies run their hands through my hair, and no one wants to do that when your hair is full of goop.
