The Best Stain Remover. Period. Read And Follow The Directions.
Update: September 9, 2020: Someone got ink on their fingers from a printer and the suggestions on the internet to use hair spray, alcohol, tea tree oil, or shop hand cleaner to remove the ink are a joke...It didn't remove an ounce of the stain. So...I thought why not try Amodex? I let the Amodex soak into the skin for 2 minutes and then gently scrubbed it away with an old toothbrush, and it removed everything! The Amodox is gentle on your skin and has the texture of hand lotion. Amazing! My family has used this many times for many different stains and this is our third time that we have purchased this product. The key in using this stain remover is to follow the directions inside the box, (they are different for different types of stains) and allow the product to remain on the stain for at least 3 hours or more. If you are impatient and you think that the product can remove a stain from something in 5 minutes, IT CAN'T. I feel that some of the reviewers on this product don't allow enough time for this product to work. I didn't either at first. It needs time to remove the stain. I let it set on the stain for 3 hours and came back to it and the stain was gone! I then gently rinsed out the area with water with a clean white towel and patted it dry. It was a little more difficult to remove a stain that was on the vertical portion of my leather inside car door, someone accidentally bumped it with their ball point pen. The stain remover works best on a flat, level surface. After trying this product on a permanent black magic marker, red nail polish, a raspberry stain, a red wine stain on clothes and a pen stain, it has removed every stain from a variety of surfaces including carpet, leather, clothes and vinyl. My latest test was when someone spilled a drop of black wood stain on my pure white carpeting. After following the directions, I was able to remove the black wood stain in about 3 hours. I can't say enough great things about this product; I would buy stock in this company if I could. Remember: Be patient and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS INSIDE THE BOX and you will be the next person writing a great review on this product. Update 12-15-16: It just took out dark hair dye out of a woman's cotton shirt. I put Saran wrap underneath the stain, so it wouldn't bleed to the other side while it removed the stain. I waited 24 hours and re-applied one more coating, then washed in in Tide with cold water in my washing machine and the stain is gone. This product takes a while (24-48 hours) to do the job, but it never lets me down. Anyone who writes a bad review on this product probably didn't read the directions which state to not wash out the stain with water in advance and never use hair spray on the stain, it only sets the stain more.

it worked!
Saved my favorite lululemon shorts.... the sharpie pen stain was removed like magic (I had worked for days with other cleaners and the stain hadn't budged) ... no color loss either, the shorts are perfect. My second shirt with old pen stains I had to leave on for an hour and scrub several times, but it also worked. So glad I purchased!

It works on ink removal!
I wish I had this on hand when some of the ink stains I was working on! My 6 year old got dry erase marker on his clothes, and I tried several other remedies prior to using this product. I was impressed it got most of the ink out of the pants! This bottle also comes with super helpful application tips/instructions inside the packaging that I think really did the trick to get the ink mostly out! I imagine if I had this product on hand right when the ink got on the clothes it wouldโve removed all of it. But Iโm happy it removed most of it!!

This works well on ink
I thought this product was expensive, but I decided to try it anyway, because I have trouble getting ink out of fabric with other stained removers. This one works great. I had accidentally marked a pair of white pants with a pink gel marker and it removed it after several applications.

Terrific Product - Removed Old, Dried Sharpie from Denim Jacket
Just used Amodex on a 25-year old blue denim jacket that I acquired second-hand. The jacket is in great condition/as new but, years ago, someone (definitely not a celebrity) signed their name using a black sharpie pen on one of the sleeves - the signature was huge, approximately 12" long, and rendered the jacket unwearable. Given the age of the dried sharpie I was very skeptical that anything would get the signature out, but this product worked like a charm - process took about 15 minutes. I put an old towel inside the sleeve to prevent any bleed-through, traced the sharpie lines with Amodex, let the jacket sit for a few minutes, gently brushed until the pen lines quickly began vanishing, and blotted the sleeve with a paper towel before putting the jacket immediately in a delicate/cold water wash. Results: The signature is gone - very faint traces are still visible in small spots but that's only because I knew the sharpie stains were once there, no one else would notice. The product removed some factory blue dye from the jacket; some light/trivial fading in the area but, again, it's not noticeable to anyone unfamiliar with the removed signature (I would not leave Amodex on denim for very long). Excellent product - a small area could be tested if you're worried about effectiveness or damage to the underlying dye/fabric.

Panic Turned Relief Thanks to This Product
I felt sick when I noticed a shopping bag had transferred ink onto my light leather seats. My car barely has 1,500 miles on it, so the idea of staring at that stain for years was frustrating. I tried everything I had on hand โ leather cleaner, hand sanitizer, even a Clorox wipe โ and while they helped a little, nothing fully removed it. I decided to try Amodex since itโs specifically made for ink stains, and Iโm so glad I did. After using it, the stain is essentially invisible. The formula has a lightweight, lotion-like texture that stays where you put it instead of running or soaking into the leather. I applied a small amount directly to the spot, gently agitated it with my fingernail, wiped with a microfiber cloth, and repeated the process about three times. That was all it took. After several failed attempts with other products, this one genuinely impressed me. For under $10, itโs absolutely worth trying if youโre dealing with stubborn ink on leather.

Wow! A must have in the house!
I really wish I had taken a before picture before using this! I read a bunch of the reviews before buying/using this, so I knew not to try and treat the area I wanted cleaned. I carry a sharpie on a retractable clip around at work. I somehow managed to put the sharpie back in the cap upside down 3x in one day! I had black sharpie lines all over my jeans! They are a multi color tie dye look, so I was hesitant to use this product for fear that it would remove the tie dye colors. I still don't know if the tie dye on the jeans is actual tie dye or what, but wow! The lines are all gone minus 3 small black dots that I'm still working on. They are barely noticeable compared to the lines so I'm beyond thrilled! After shaking the bottle, the Amodex liquid isn't too thin, so I didn't waste too much product. I used an old toothbrush to scrub vigorously. I probably treated each of the lines twice with the Amodex, and kept scrubbing. The ink was disappearing and the tie dye wasn't! Again, since I don't know how the jeans were actually colored to make the tie dye look, I don't recommend trying this without testing a small area first on home made tie dye! After it looked like all the sharpie lines were gone, it wasn't completely clear if some of the black from the tie dye had bled because of the way the wet areas made the jeans look. I was starting to think I should have just left the lines because it looked better than what I was looking at. I took the jeans and rinsed all the treated areas under water, hanging them to dry overnight. Before they even dried though, I could see the black from the tie dye hadn't bled. My jeans were saved! I don't know why the remaining 3 black dots (very tiny) don't seem to want to come off vs all the lines that were drawn, but they're really not very noticeable, so I'm only trying 1 last time to remove them. All the scrubbing is harsh on the material. I gave the Amodex 4 stars because of those last 3 dots, and it's kind of expensive considering the size of the bottle. There's no offensive smell (unless you put the stuff right by your nose and take a big whiff lol). Maybe there are other products out there that work as well, but it's not worth checking them out to me since this worked fast and was easy to use. The instructions tell how to use the product based on the material you're trying to clean which is nice and there's also a phone number you can call for help/questions.

Does exactly what it claims
Did exactly what it claimed to do. It removed ballpoint pen ink from cloth. Took 3 attempts to get to point where the cloth was perfect.

Worked Amazing, Cannot recommend enough
Iโm so happy I ordered this product. Iโm a Poshmark seller and when packaging an order of a vintage dress that sold I noticed an ink stain. It took 5 rounds of using this gel but the stain from how ever long ago lifted. Absolutely no discolouration in the garment either. This gel was a total life saver!!!

Best Stain Remover Saved My Tourers
Absolutely amazing product! I got gel ink stains on my trousers from washing them with pens on accident and its been months since I done anything about it because I seen people use alcohol which made it worst and I didn't want to risk it, however I got this stain remover and it works like a charm. I seen the bad reviews and honesty I think they must be using the product wrong because this is like magic (see pictures below). Mind you I also had these go in the dryer etc and it still after months managed to get most of the gel ink out, I will say if u look very very close you'll see a wee bit of it but honestly it's not bad and if you do it mutiple times unlike me who used it just once on my trousers it'll likely disappear all together. Very pleased because they discontinued making these trousers so I thought I could never wear them outside again. THANK YOU WHOEVER MADE THIS! (The picture after the stain remover still looks like it has white spots because it's before I put it in the washing machine once you was it those go away)
