Ready for a twist on old fashioned mac & cheese?
This is my favorite so far.๐ Iโm surprised by all the negative reviews. If you are expecting good old fashioned Mac and cheese then this is not for you. This is very creamy and comforting. Tastes like a gourmet dish.๐ฉ๐ฝโ๐ณ Not the same ole boring thing. Heck, even Mexican food ๐ฎ has a strong aftertaste, but Iโm not going to stop eating it. I do appreciate some of the ideas with the chili and broccoli. ๐ฅฆ Thanks.

Overpowering garlic,onion,and other flavors
I really wanted to like this entree,as the HMR meals are convenient and very filling. I just couldn't handle the overwhelming strong,not cheese,flavors.Super strong garlic,onion,and other spices drown out any cheese flavor.This entree was just not for me.It was a great price and I will be buying more HMR meals,just not this one.P.S. I looove the HMR hot cereal and the HMR chicken enchiladas!

Disgusting Flavor
I am all for HMR products. Most of them are decently flavored and, if eaten with a ton of veggies, very filling. I like almost all of their other pasta dishes so when I saw this mac & cheese version, I didn't even hesitate in making the purchase. That was my first mistake. When I cooked this up, I added cauliflower and used the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray. My second mistake was convincing myself that it wasn't worth the effort to make myself something else to eat. I choked down half a tray of this stuff before I gave up, wasted the rest to the trashcan (I hate doing that) and dropped the remaining 5 boxes off at my parents house, hoping my Mom could make use of it.

Better than you think
Room temperature squash Mac and cheese isnโt the most appealing phrase but I would urge you to give this a try! Itโs delicious but still diet-friendly. Very satisfying lunch that almost feels like a cheat meal.

More like soup than Mac and cheese.
I keep a stock of the meals from seller. Always great stuff!! But the Mac and cheese is soup. Mine had very little noodles but lots of liquid. Taste was ok, but too much liquid.

Wow. Very pleased. New favorite.
Really good considering it's diet food. Don't expect it to taste like pollo loco or KFC, because it doesn't, but it's really good in it's own way. I'm a butternut squash fan, but I can't taste any squash in this dish. Don't let the butternut squash be a deterrent if you aren't a squash lover. It cannot be detected :) Surprisingly creamy, and an appropriate, appetizing orange cheese color, unlike some of the other HMR entrees.

This stuff is weird.
I know I shouldn't expect much from diet food and I had my doubts since all the good mac & cheese I have had has been frozen. It has a weird flavor - doesn't taste like cheese, doesn't take like squash. It doesn't really taste like anything. It's just weird and the texture isn't the greatest either. I won't be buying it again.
