When it say 290 ft - 328 ft, does it mean you can not go below 290 ft and go beyond 328 ft?

We have used the mics on the same table as the receiver. We have also used them at about 300 feet. This means that [290 ft - 328 ft] could mean [up to 290 to 328 ft].

Is the 1/4 output mic level or line level? Does it need a mic preamp to connect to line in directly (or it has to connect to mic input)? Thanks!

Hi, thanks for you interest in Phenyx Pro. If you want to use the PTU-71system with your computer, you will need an audio interface to connect them together. Here we recommend our compact 4 channel audio mixer PTX-10. To set it up, first connect the 1/4" mix output from the PTU-5000 to the channel 1 mic input of the PTX-10 mixer. Then connect the PTX-10 to your computer using the USB power cable. Select the PTX-10 as the audio input device on your computer and then you are good to go. Thank you.

can i monitor through headphones?

Short answer is yes, but it has nothing to do with the microphone. Monitoring comes from your mixer or other audio input device.
