A great bargain. A quality instrument.
I’m new to tabletop machining, and didn’t want to pay 150 bucks for a Dial Test Indicator that was going to have a rough life while I figured out what I was doing. This little guy has performed flawlessly....even with the rough handling that I’ve given it.

Nice little Gauge.
The only thing I would caution potential buyers is that the gauge is really small. For me this was not a deal breaker. Other than size, the indicator seems to be well made, and performed well. Good value for the price.

great for differential housing spreader
very repeatable zero, not too jumpy when taking measurements using a housing spreader for my trucks front diff. the dove tail mounts were able to be grabbed by my fixture directly so no need to even mess with attaching the posts. all in all great for me

Works great as advertised
Great value for the price. Arm is just whaI needed to check runout on a bell housing. Size is small but what I needed.

Good test indicator
This test indicator works fine for my use and appears to be accurate enough. When I first went to use it the tip was stiff and I thought I might break something if I rotated it around. I tried later with a little more force and it moved as it should. In the picture you can see the tip in the rotated position. I don't buy $100 indicators as they don't seem to last all that long, so this was a good choice for me.

It is a nice little indicator, BUT...
This indicator did very well for my application, however, just a slip of the hand, and the dovetail attachment broke right off. :( The metal is very thin where it broke. In my opinion it is just far too delicate. And now it is useless. I won't purchase another one of these, I am sure the same thing would happen eventually. Hopefully, I will find an easy solution to make what seems to be an OK product useful again.

Good for a hobbiest
I’m currently building a little machine shop in my garage. I retired about 15 years ago and sold all my tooling so I’m starting over. This is a nice indicator for the money. It’s accurate but it’s not as smooth as a higher quality indicator. You’ll notice they the dial will “jump”Instead of fluidly moving but overall it works for what I need and for the price it can’t be beat .

Works well
So I got this in a pinch, left a job which provided tools to another employer who didnt. Long story short side by side to bigger name brands it works essentially identical. Has served me well but being in the profession (machining) I am in I will eventually replace with the bigger name brands. Keep in mind though if I didnt have a side by side comparison using a coworkers more expensive measurement tool I would 9 time out of time probably never trust it doing what I do.. but it works and accomplishes the job i've used it to hold tolerances +/- .005. I wouldn't blindly trust it though something like this being used like it's supposed do you due diligence if you have the opportunity. Something this inexpensive you always wonder. I have other tools I've paid 5 times the amount that I dont trust though so it's probably a me thing but like I said the thing works. Cons and this is what you pay for when it comes to the higher end / pricier options, the probe is short atleast an 1/8th of an inch shorter maybe 3/16 then your mitutoyo, or starrett or w.e big name brands. Second con the dial does not rotate easily, being spoiled and having interapids at my leisure at my last employer it was not an issue at all to rotate dial to zero or w.e number you desire. Rotating this bad boys dial while "zeroed" in at least on mine will 100% move your indicator. The reason I gave it 4 stars for easy to read is because at certain angles the "glass" can make it look like the hand is on a different number then looking at it dead on. But that's it for me the product functions fine. Buy it, it works. Silver lining if you decide to "upgrade" now you got a loaner or a tool to use to sketchy setups.
