Perfect...IF you need this style..!!
This style of ratchet strap is perfect for some applications. If you shop around for these you will find that most ratchet straps have hooks on the ends. They are also very useful.... if you need to lash something down and can't reach all the way around it. OTOH, if you can reach around the item, OR you need the ability to secure something to itself, then this style of "endless loop" is the answer. Having said that, these are not always easy to find. And some of the ones that are available are not particularly good quality. These however seem to be not only be a good size, but of high quality as well.Where would you use straps like this..?? Well, here is an example. I work with tools and wood quite a bit. I use these straps as a form of a "band clamp" for gluing together items that are round or odd shaped or "non-standard" in some way. As long as the strap will reach completely around the item, it can be secured until the glue sets. This is perfect for gluing up something like a round hollow drum or barrel, or a round table top, or maybe gluing up a dining room chair where all of the joints have come loose and you need to re-glue while keeping the legs straight and level to the floor. You can wrap this band around the chair and secure all of the joints at the same time. Position the chair firmly on a flat surface while the glue dries and ..... everything stays square and all joints are done at the same time. This type of ratchet strap is also good for keeping "things" together. When you have multiples of an item and want to secure them together (maybe for transport in a pick-up..??), this works perfectly. If you want to wrap something with a tarp completely to keep it 100% protected, this strap will do the job....No more worrying about tying string or rope around something. So these straps have a "working load" of 400 pounds. And a "break strength" of 1200 pounds. What's the difference.?? Well, the break strength is the design limit beyond which the material or mechanism will fail or "yield". The "working load" is the design limit within which you can expect the item to continue to function and still absorb transient loads or forces applied, such as impacts or stress caused by movement or travel over the highway. So, these straps should not be used for loadings higher than 400 pounds. These straps seem to be a great compromise between high quality and high price. They function perfectly (at least in my situations..) and easily. The release mechanism works like all similar items. The strap wraps around an item and is secured back at the ratchet by threading it through the mechanism and tightening. The ratcheting mechanism is all steel (apparently..) and appears to be solidly built. The ratchet handle is steel and is NOT protected by any plastic or rubber surfaces. This means that it could be a little tough on your hands if you are putting a lot of pressure on it. Use common sense.!! The strap is nylon (apparently..) or some other synthetic. Like most straps of this type, it can be damaged or cut by wrapping it tightly around sharp metal objects. I have had no issues at all, but I am pretty careful about how I use them and protecting them from sharp edges.I like these endless loop ratchet straps. I find them to be as good as any I have ever used, and better than some.... Recommended.

Tie down straps
I use the straps to hold down 2 of my speakers on a platform that attaches to my speaker stands. I use 2 for each speaker platform. That would be 36 pounds per speaker. Together 72 pounds each. They are stacked on top of each other, per platform. They work very well. Very solid. I'm very happy with these straps.

Ratchets seem to be quality construction--this seems to work fine for holding down my kayak on the top of my car. I would prefer the webbing straps to be a little thicker and beefier for a more secure feeling. I have non-ratcheting tie-downs that are thicker and feel like they can hold more weight. I have no equipment to test the actual weight capacity of this product, however.

Multiple use
I bought it because I needed a way to make the tires on a cart to adhere to the wheel hub to air the tires up. Works great.

Not easy to use
First off, the product listing shows a yellow chromate metal piece, and yellow strap. The reality is I received black painted metal and light gray strap. The strap is very flimsy compared to tie-downs bought previously, and when tightening the strap it tends to curl and fold over very easily, making it difficult to loosen easily. Also, the ratchet release mechanism is not smooth operating and hurts my fingers while holding it retracted. Will NOT buy this kind again.

One Never Knows How Much a Tightening Circle Comes in Handy, Until One Has A tightening Circle
This is a very versatile and helpful tool in my box. It is great for when I have something I need to cover with a tarp, i can wrap the tarp, then put this around the tarp, and I know the tarp is not going anywhere.Another great use is when I am transporting wood, I can turn 15 loose pieces into one solid block that is much easier to tie down.My only warning would be to watch out for the handle, I cant remember if it had rubber on it when i bought it or not, but needless to say, it can hurt your hand to tighten without a rag or something to protect.

Wow, I thought Keeper made good stuff
I paid more for the Keeper name assuming I would get better quality. I was wrong. The two Keeper tie downs I purchased were virtually impossible use. The mechanism just refused to release. I tired oiling the workings, which worked once and then then everything locked up. Just very poor manufacturing. I have older keeper tie downs that worked great, which is why this is so disappointing. If you are spending more on these Keeper tie downs thinking you are getting higher quality than the cheaper ones, you will be disappointed. I ended up buying this no name ten pack https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09Z83984T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 and not a single one failed. Keeper should take serious not that their quality has fallen below the no name manufacturers.
