It’s the mats meow!!
Mat used for area to lay fabric before cutting. Creates a very smooth and sturdy surface, therefore making cutting fabric a breeze.

Not as self healing as you would think
This item was not what I expected. In my shop we use thick clear self healing PVC sheets for our cutting tables. You are able to use pins in them to hold material, dragging a knife through the material is incredibly easy. and the cuts close up. This material is not that. This material is much harder. I do not think I will be able to use pins. and because of the hardness of the material I think that my fabrics will slide to easily while dragging my knife. Which is a problem if I want accurate curving cuts. Don't get me wrong, it is not as hard or dense as a kitchen cutting board. But it is a close second. It will be great for protecting the table. But it will not give me the function that I am looking for. I will need to try something else.
