Perfect gift for everyone.
Had mine a year now. First used in a factory where I had to kneel or move around on concrete and rough grating. I would wear these for hours at a time. Now I use them to do house work, or when I have to do anything with my car. Honestly I almost look for an excuse to wear these. I've worn them over jeans, sweatpants, with shorts, bare skin etc. Pros: - Very comfortable. I can drop to my knees while wearing these (for obvious reasons don't recommend.) - Does not limit mobility one bit. Actually enables and increases mobility! - Simple, easy to adjust elastic bands give a firm and comfortable fit which stays in place for long durations. - Very well constructed. (I was initially concerned about how the plastic hooks might hold up, but I've been wearing these a lot, for a while now, and no problems.) - Perfect for chores around the house. - Perfect for factory work if kneeling is required. -Perfect for automotive work, if you are inclined to do any work on your car. Cons: -Can get sweaty if worn for long durations or in heat. (I wore these over jeans for hours at a time. The front pads are very comfortable and supportive, but not breathable. This is weird and inconsequential but its likely the front of your knees might sweat. For me it was never a big deal, and there are worse places to sweat than the front of your knee? I guess.) (I could imagine that if a person were extraordinarily hard on these, that a pair would last at bare minimum a year. But I'm talking rough, rough work, on abrasive and unforgiving surfaces.)

best on the market, buy with confidence.
These are hands down the best knee pads I have ever owned. Do no listen to the negative comments these other people are saying about these knee pads. people are stupid and you have to take these reviews with a grain of salt, as it seems everyone wants and expects so much for next to nothing. well, you're about to get it when you buy these knee pads. I have been pouring concrete ( down on my knees) for 13 years. When looking for knee pads, you are looking for; 1.) comfort while kneeling and standing. 2.) straps placed above and below the back of the knees so that they do not cut off the circulation into the back of your knees. 3.) Thin straps that do not make your legs or knees sweat. 4.) sleek, stylish look. These are so comfortable that when you put them on loosely, they not only stay in place and do not slide around/up & down your legs, but you forget they're even on you! The only thing that I would recommend changing on these pads would be the clips for the straps, as they are just thin plastic.. I would use metal clips and add metal around the slots that they slide into, so it won't break with age and wear & tear.. I am going to be reinforcing mine with JB Weld. The plastic on these pads are thin, BUT! they seem to be pretty durable. The padding is also very thin as well, BUT! it is enough padding for me. I have been down on my knees all this week doing a tile floor and my knees do not hurt at all now, or during work. keeping in mind that I have been on my knees doing concrete for 13 years and I have a bum right knee that aches everyday when squatting and climbing, these pads were good enough for me and my knees that I felt absolutely no discomfort while wearing them. Buy with confidence.

My search for kneepads ended when I bought these
It’s coming up to a year since I purchased these knee pads. I don’t think I’ve ever went back a year on my order history to look for a particular item just to write a review a year later, but these kneepads are that good. Since I bought these knee pads I’ve used them every week for multiple days a week. I’ve added gutter guards to my roof, tiled my kitchen, added sound deadening panels to my car, etc with these knee pads and they’ve not only held up but gotten even more comfortable. Could I have finished those jobs without them? Yeah. I could also eventually trim my lawn with the safety scissors my 8 year old uses for arts and crafts, but I am not a masochist and would choose a lawn mower every time. Is the difference between working on your bare knees or with sellstrom kneepads as drastic as cutting a lawn with kiddie scissors or a lawn mower? Yes. Yes it is. If you’re on the market for some kneepads these are it. Get these kneepads. Unless you’re a masochist, and really do not want to make your life easier then don’t because these kneepads will with absolute certainty make your life easier.

Great for certain jobs.
4 Stars overall, but 5 Stars when used for the right job. Here are three sets of knee pads I own, all but the Sellstorm (on the far right) have a critical flaw when crawling around (e.g. In an attic or crawlspace). The top of the knee pads on the others constantly catch on joists, objects, wires, etc. and push the knee pads off your knees. The Sellstrom's are the only ones that don't do that because of the over the knee cap design. Unfortunately they are not the most comfortable, but generally acceptable. I would rank the No Cry as a good compromise (in the middle) for comfort and security other than crawling around, and the Troxell (far left) the highest for comfort but lowest for staying securely on your knee (great for tile work or limited movement applications). Hope this helps.

My goto knee pad
I have tried dozens of different kneepads, from 5$ cheap to $200+, but I haven't found a knee pad I like more than this. Every day working around the house I will wear these the whole day. It's to a point my friends notice and say something whenever they see me without them. As long as the lower strap is tight enough it won't slide past the bulge of your calf muscle so it will not fall down your leg. And because of the two piece pivoting action, it realigns itself every time you bend your knees to kneel. The hard plastic over the soft foam let's you kneel even on a metal corner point with ease. Heck, you can even use it as a cutting surface. The rubber pad on the outside doesn't scratch sensitive surfaces. Just a fantastic knee pad!!!! I own several pair and leave them lay around all around my life (upstairs, downstairs, greenhouse, truck, wife's car, at my parents house etc). The only cons I have for them is that after 5-8 years of constant use the plastic around the pivot point wear out and the elastic straps loose their elasticity.

Game-changer
I had some very old standard knee pads that were in need of replacement. I decided to give these a try, and they have made a huge difference. I have used them many times already - mostly landscaping which has me kneeling on concrete and mulch. First, the pivoting knee joint prevents the knee pad from sliding down and requiring constant adjustment. This also prevents the straps from sliding down and irritating that back of the knee. At first I felt like the fit was a big snug, but they seemed to have loosed up enough that they are quite comfortable (I have worn them constantly for hours at a time). The only aspect I was unsure of was the hook-ins for the strap. Both the hooks and the holes on the pad are plastic - no metal hook or metal reinforced hole. However, the material appears to be ABS-type plastic which tends to be very strong. After many uses I think they will hold up fine. Last, the pads have a rubberized potion that keeps you from sliding all over the place should you be working on a smooth surface. Overall these are great, and I wish I had purchased them sooner.

Great knee pads
I generally have a nightmare buying any kind of workwear, being 5'4" and 8.5 stone. Everything is designed for blokes seemingly. I wasn't holding out much hope for these kneepads, but I was wrong. Pros: - They stay in place! No once during a full day's use did I have to pull them up from my shin - The protection is excellent, not once did I feel any discomfort in my knees after a day of wiring in a confined space - Love the quick release catches to get them on and off - The hinged knees are a revelation. I actually think that this is what helps them stay up, and increases your mobility. Cons: - The elastic on the bottom strap still rubbed the back of my knee, BUT they were on bare legs - They are pricey, but I can see them lasting a long time, so that makes it worth it.

Best knee pads
Far better than the gel knee pads. I've been using these knee pads on steel, concrete, rocks and other horrible surfaces. Don't seem to slip down like most others and very comfortable

World's best knee pads
I gave myself a case of acute bursitis (Nun's Knee) working on my knees after having bad experiences with knee pads- They'd always fall down, be uncomfortable, make it hard to walk etc. Researched for the best knee pads in the world and found these (2nd in line after custom made jobbies worth hundreds of dollars each). They have lived up to the reviews- they stay on where you put them, are comfortable, you can walk easily in them and they give great protection. Crawling through roofs, under floors, working on concrete and impact. They are great!
