Smeg….the best looking appliances on the market
This is my first Smeg appliance. Smeg is popular because all the appliances are simply beautiful with retro styling, but expensive. They are also known to have quality control issues if you do your research. I took a chance on a smaller item and cannot speak to reliability at this early date. It came in a champagne “style” box so the description was questionable I thought I’d get one in a champagne colored gift box so I included a pic for others to see what they will get. It is stunning! I got the black one without the additional attachments but you can buy the attachment kit separately for about $99. I also bought the Smeg stand for this item from another kitchenware site since amazon doesn’t carry it. Will update after I’ve used it for making soups and stews this upcoming winter.

stopped working after a few months. only used it 10 times max

Broke after just a few years of gentle use
I used this for less than 3 years before it broke. I was happy with it. But I never used it very hard - mostly just very basic protein shakes every morning with almond milk and powders, nothing challenging to blend. For this much money and gentle use, I expected it to last longer.
