Covermates Fountain Cover - Light Weight Material, Weather Resistant, Elastic Hem, Outdoor Living Covers-Green

While the material that this fountain cover is made from seems quite sturdy, I feel there are some inaccuracies with regard to the fit. First of all, it is way over-sized and drags the ground. Second of all, the description of the product advertises "buckle straps" to secure the cover. The cover I received has no straps of any type anywhere on it. And third, the drawstring which is advertised to give an even more secure and custom fit, is a joke. There is so much extra material due to the over-sized nature of this product, that the drawstring would only synch about 2 inches of the fabric, leaving about 50 inches wide open. I give it two stars because it does appear to be quality grade material - not like a tarp but more fabric-like, however, it did not fit my fountain appropriately and I had no way of securing it for the winter except for strapping my own bungee cord around the bottom and then securing the gross amount of material left laying on the ground with bricks. I'm not sure if it will sustain a strong wind but time will tell.

This cover is well made. It's gone through a couple of 40-50mph wind days and held up great and the elastic kept the wind from getting underneath it. I put a 5 gallon bucket over the top of my fountain and then put the cover on. I figure it will spread the weight of the cover over more square inches of the cover and last longer. Anyway it fits great, seems well made and has held up well so far. It looks just like the advertised picture. I'll know more come spring but I expect it will do it's job and remain in good condition.

The cover fit perfectly over our fountain!!! When it rains, we have to remove all of the water in our fountain to keeps fly larvae from growing in the water by scooping the water out, which takes lots of time. This cover is GREAT!!!!!

This does not cover a bird bath. I have two, one covers an outdoor (I use it outdoors,) small teak bench in my garden, the other covers a small (31" high) fountain. So, it can be used as a cover for many smaller outdoor items. Most covers are so big, that there is very little out there to cover smaller items. This fills the bill.

This is my third Covermate cover I have purchased. The quality and design construction is what keeps me coming back to Covermate for ordering outdoor covers. I have not used this "Fountain" cover yet as I am waiting for for fall to winterize my fountain birdbath. Canvas is more durable than vinyl or plastic and it will sure beat having to cut heavy plastic to wrap around my fountain birdbath with a bungee cord as I have done for the past several yrs. Also the hemmed draw string with stop release buttons is great for tightening to prevent the wind blowing the cover off or weather's "elements" from damaging my fountain birdbath, outdoor fire pit and grill.

I would like to say that this cover is absolutely wonderful. I have a few pieces that are coming for my fountain that broke over the harsh winter months. As soon as we got it, we covered the large portion if the bowl and the bottom of the fountain. So far it has withheld up to the test of winter.

The cover allows me to leave my steel firepit out in the open and ready for use instead of dragging it inside.

Worked perfectly to cover the fountain that we inherited at our new house! She is safely wrapped up for the winter!
