Beyond a shadow of a doubt, they are very good at what they are intended to do. I also have audio technica ath m50x which is a closed back headphone and is a legend in its category but 700x being an open back headphone sounds much better than m50x in every aspect of music, be it clarity, soundstage and impedance. The only thing that 700x lacks is bass response. Bass is inferior than m50x but it's okay with me. Believe you me guys, go for 700x if you want to experience the magic of open back headphones. This is a little different from the typical headphones most people have. Since they are open back, the focus is more on soundstage (how wide the sound is and from how far it seems to come) and it does it really well. But this doesnt have the typical treble and bass heavy personality. This one has a great neutral feel to it. You cant really make out in typical bollywood and EDM music. But if you listen to classic rock, jazz, blues, you would be surprised. It leaks sound outside so it not really for wearing in the metro (not portable) and the cable is very very long. Only reason i didnt give 5 stars is because for the price.
