aFe TR-2006P Takeda Cold Air Intake System

The metal tube seems good. The filter does not hold up. The rubber will start to crack after a couple years. I ended up replacing the filter with a K&N RU-4960XD.

Quality was good but nearing the end of the installation I realized that they didn't give you an extended vent hose. The factory hose was too short. Not a huge problem but aggravating. The item is not a true cold air either. It is placed near the firewall near the computer. The air is sucked from a heated area. The factory part at least pulled from a cool source.

This product was a nice little addition to my 09 Corolla. The engine has a nice growl now.I love to rev it up in park to hear the increased air flow(Although I also have a custom muffler). People also compliment the look of the intake when I raise my hood. Overall I haven't notice any gains yet but that's because I have only had it for such a short time upon writing this review(1 Day). Installation was as easy as possible and maintenance only requires you to wash the filter or simply vacuum it. I feel it should be a little cheaper but I think it will pay for itself over time. 5 stars.

Amazing product!!! it does gives a unique sound once it is installed and also it helps save some gas too. And well of course I purchased with the purpose of giving my corolla a little bit of more horse power (which it does) and also a wide air entrance making my engine live a little longer. Not all corollas are the same, I end up buying a longer pressure hose to conect to one of the air exits for the Takeda air intake. I guess that is the only down thing for corolla 2011 S stock.

Looks great. Easy install, but did have to change out the hose leading to the intake...was no longer long enough.

Why does it not come with a different hose?? It makes you use your stock hose and it don't fit! 2012 corollaSuck to spend money and then have to go buy another part still

I bought this for my 2010 Toyota Corolla sport, I got it for the gas mileage, but before I talk about that I want to say that it sounds nice and it looks nice under the hood, but about the gas mileage I can't really say I noticed to much, but it is a good product

I just had installed yesterday and not only does it look better under my hood but the accelaration of the corolla is not so laggy any more. The sound of it is more of a growl then anything else and it will fit 2009 to 2012 Corolla engines since it is the 10 gen plus designs. Other then that you can pair this with a aftermarket exhaust to open up the bottle neck for more horsepower if you like.

I had been researching for a CAI for a while now and when the price went down on it, I decided to give it a shot, and I’m glad I did! I installed this on my 2009 Pontiac Vibe (it doesn’t show as being compatible anywhere, but it’s essentially a Toyota Matrix. And was 100% compatible. The install took me roughly 20min to install and it does unfortunately require you to buy a longer PCV hose 10” x 5/8ths roughly as it’s not included in the kit. Once I had everything connected and and double checked everything, I started it up! When idleing you barely notice a difference but when you rev it past 3000 rpm it growls ferociously! I would definitely suggest anyone looking for a slight performance boost and a better throttle response on there Toyota Corolla, Matrix or Pontiac Vibe to take a look at the aFe Power Takeda CAI TR-2006P.
