Weller SP23 Perfect Fit
Fit my Weller SP23 (which I purchased in 1974 following graduation in electrical engineering) perfectly. They seem to heat as quickly and solder as good as the original, which is down to nearly just a nub. I probably should have replaced it decades ago but as an engineer we use tools until they're completely dead. Hope these new solder tips last as long as the original although I doubt I'll live that long.

Installation is critical
The first tip I stalled in the weller soldering iron did not transfer the heat to full end of the tip. The tip felt loose as well. After reading the many reports of the tips not fitting tried a second tip. This one I could not get all the way in with my fingers. I gripped with pliers and gently tightened until it was down and felt secure. This second tip works fine. So make sure you are able to get the tip fully seated.

I was a little hesitant but it worked out perfectly. When the tip that came with the Weller suffered from an unnatural wear I looked for an OEM tip for replacement but was rather appalled at the price which is more than 70% of the cost of the iron itself --it wasn't so much the price but rather did not see much value in it . Since the iron was still good and while this seemed like a good deal I was a little hesitant due to some of the negative reviews alluding to needing re-threading. Ultimately I decided to take a chance and if it did not fit correctly I was simply going to return it. As it turns out it fitted perfectly without needing any special tools --all hand tightened and there was no slack. Needlessly to say I am quite pleased with these tips.

Worked great on the custom soldering iron I built when my main one died shortly after getting these. Great thermal mass, plenty of sacrificial material for reworking tip shape.

Excelente reemplazo para mi cautín
Compre las puntas para un cautín Weller de lápiz, y enrosco perfecto la punta, tiene un buen desempeño al soldar, y me gusto el costo, las originales son mas caras y a mi parecer tienen la misma calidad y funcionan igual, por lo que para mi fue una compra excelente.

Calidad mediana.
Si se usan para uso constante. Reparación, etc. Las puntas se acaban rápido. Al parecer el material es de baja calidad.
