It fell apart quickly
Within the first week of actual use, the thermometer fell out of the float (raft); the hardened glue gave way. I tried to re-glue it, and several times it came apart so I gave up. I was very surprised because this product had so many great reviews. And in fairness to the seller I did not reach out...I just didn't have the time right after I purchased the product, and some time has passed. It is very possible that I received a defective one because there are so many positive reviews.

Does the job
After a couple weeks floating in the pool, still works fine. The readings from my unit are consistent but a little high -- 3-4 degrees higher than the older thermometer floating next to it (which probably was reading a little low). Fine with me, as it fools my wife into thinking the pool is warmer than it is, which saves me money on heating.Note that all inexpensive thermometers' temperature readings will vary from unit to unit, maybe +-2 degrees. One disadvantage to buying online is you can't compare readings on multiple units as in the store and select one that reads high, low, or in the middle of distribution according to your preference. Also, this model is a little expensive compared to in-store, but I bought online for the convenience.

VERY CUTE
These are adorable .... I bought the set ... the male and the female ... tied them together and they are floating around the pool together. Being tied together also makes them less likely to wind up in the skimmer which is where most of our thermometers wind up.

Needs better adhesive?
Really cute. A day after I put it in the pool, the thermometer fell off the bottom so I had to reattach it. I thought maybe it just wasn't snapped in properly. Found the thermometer in the deep end of the pool again and reattached it to the fat floaty lady (i.e. the Milliard, not me or any of my friends LOL). I don't think the adhesive used to attach it was sufficient. Guess I'll have to reattach the thermometer with some better adhesive if it falls off again.

Cute. Cute. Cute.
Wanted a floating theemometer for my spa. Based on prior experience I knew there would be a slight variance between the floater and the built in temperature controller. That is ok. I am pleased with "Maggiie". She is cute and my puppy keeps an eye on her as "Maggie" moves. Sometimes I will swish Maggie to watch Teddy Bear follow her around the spa.

Will look so cute in the pool
Cute as punch and made of a reasonably strong material. I usually get a new thermometer each season, and generally need to get a new cord to tie i.e. somewhere mid summer. I expect that this will have a good summer in our pool, and look really cute.By the way, this is Central Florida. The sun is intense, as is the heat during the summer. I pretty much don't expect most things to last more than one season. So, contrasting aspersions......just sayin'

Great pool thermometer, kids love it.
I needed a pool thermometer and found this on Amazon. Wife and kids thought it was pretty funny/cute so I ordered it. It works just fine and has made it thru one summer season and is still working. The only issue I had was that after 3 or so months the tether fell apart. Not a big deal I just added some new line to it.

Fun thermometers
These thermometers are a hoot! They’re so cute. They bring a smile to my face every time I look at them. I will admit, however, that they’re not perfectly accurate. One reads as 2 degrees higher than the other. But who cares? They give us a ballpark temperature, and that’s all we need. Get them. They’re fun, and the price is right.
