Takes the Ick out of camp toilets
There is nothing fun about camp toilets, but this toilet bag makes it much more tolerable. The double bag system makes it simple to change bags without worrying about getting any mess on you. The sealed bag has zero smell. The bag itself is durable and we have yet to have a failure, even after a long weekend with a large group of hunters using the camp toilet system. Having a good camp toilet seat increases the overall experience too! Don’t plan on switching from this set-up anytime soon!

Works great!
These work great for camping and going to forestry cabins so you don't have to go outside in the dark with all the bears! Have used these for over 20 years about 4 times a year.

Sanitary and effective, but can't quite contain the smell!
Everybody poops. My favorite place to poop is at home, but my favorite places to camp are deserts and alpine tundras -- hours or days away from any bathrooms. And if you spend much time in these areas, you'll soon grow sick of stumbling upon half-buried turds at every turn of the trail, and become even more infuriated by the wisps of used toilet paper wafting around wherever you look. The ONLY acceptable option is to pack your crap out -- literally! Plus, and more importantly, ALL of your TP needs to get packed out. TP does not biodegrade in the desert, and no amount of half-heartedly sprinkling sand on top of it will change this fact. Please, if you are getting into dispersed camping, please buy and use these waste bags! So about these bags: They will effectively contain your poop, and there's also some sort of powder in them to solidify/gel liquid waste as well -- no worrying about spills or leaks. The larger, inner bag, can be used to line the seat of an improvised commode such as a bucket, while the smaller outer bag is thicker and features a double ziplock seal. The system is sanitary, and it works perfectly for containing everything except the smell. Even with the inner bag tied in a double knot, and the outer bag double zipped, and that placed into a conventional garbage bag with other refuse, and that tied tightly shut, then placed in yet another garbage bag tied over itself again, and that placed in a 5 gallon paint bucket with a tightly sealed lid... the camper shell on my pickup smells like feces until I reach civilization and can finally throw my quadruple-bagged pile of shame into a dumpster. Even then, it takes quite some time to air things out. There's simply no containing the smell of feces using conventional plastic bags--at least not in a warm climate. To be clear, the bags are a million times better than if you pooped directly into your backpack or your car. The smell you'll experience through the sealed bag is more like standing downwind from a distant outhouse. It's really not that bad. But still, you'd wish you weren't downwind from an outhouse. Please don't interpret this as a negative review of the product. It is great and I highly recommend it. Just, don't expect to be able to use it in the back country without having to deal with mild odor issues, especially in enclosed spaces like a backpack or vehicle. I have tried many brands of this same type of product. They are all sanitary and effective, just not odor-tight. UPDATE (2021): After many more back-country camping adventures, I finally found a way to pack out my bags of poop without having to deal with the smell! In addition to these bags, buy some 12x18" aluminized mylar bags. That's the kind of bag you see used for computer motherboards, for example. The aluminized layer makes them exceptionally air-tight. Ever wonder why you can buy a years-old bag of potato chips from a sketchy vending machine without having to worry that they'll be stale? That's because of the the amazing impermeability of aluminized plastic films. To seal the aluminized bags, you'll need a battery-powered bag sealer, which melts the open edges of the bag together. The result is a ridiculously air-tight and odor-tight seal, far better than you can get by knotting and zip-locking regular plastic bags. Now I can so effectively seal the bags of my disgusting shame, that I'll have zero odors in my camper or my gear even after a week of baking in the desert sun. I agree it seems wasteful to commit so many bags to containing camp refuse, but in my opinion, this is 1000x better than leaving yet another pile of half-buried feces within a few yards of an epic camp site. And even if I haven't convinced you to poop into these bags instead of onto the ground in the middle of a popular hiking trail, please, for the love of god, at least pack out your toilet paper no matter what. Nothing ruins a spectacular sunrise at camp quite like having a strip of brown morse code waft into your face during breakfast -- and that's speaking from experience.

I had carried this portable toilet around in my fiberglas covered pickup bed, along with equipment to cook out on the trail for 6 months. I had a 6 gallon bucket that I was using for trash and I switched it to the Lug a Loo which made it a bit taller. I had never used this lug a loo until I was able to tag along on a tent camp out with a very experienced camper the end of October. I set this portable commode up in my 10 by 10 Cabelas Outback tent. It was very sturdy to sit on and I never was concerned it would tip over. Since I'd never used it before I was amazed with the excellent design for sealing up waste and just put it outside the tent. I could have left it inside because the seal is excellent. Perfectly designed far as I'm concerned. This is a simple portable toilet and does the job well. It is back in my pickup and ready for emergency use. Simple deal, with the box of DOUBLE DOODIE bags inside the bucket with the lid closed, clean, odorless, and ready. The only thing better is my bathroom at home. This is an excellent product.

Very durable and easy to use!
Love these for camping. I bought a bucket and a snap on toilet seat so that I have my own toilet setup while camping in the middle of nowhere. These bags absorb a lot, fit the bucket well, they are leak proof, and easy to seal when removing to throw away. While they minimize smell, it’s impossible to truly have no smell so I recommend putting a dryer sheet in the bottom of the bucket or having a little air freshener.

The Number 1 Place To Go Number 2!!!!😬
Ok, so NOBODY wants to poop or pee in a bucket with a bag, however, all I can say is I’m glad I had this in my (enclosed) hunting blind. The night before I knew right after eating that second helping of meat loaf things might go awry in the morning. I will spare you the details! But, you get it! It was a full blown emergency 🚨 kind of situation. Leave blind, blow deer hunt and and risk not making it to car... and well, you get it. Purchased these last year with the luggable loo. Best purchase I think I ever made. Last year when I bought it I said to myself I will never use that thing! I am super man and could hold anything in..... this am on a 29 degree morning I was proven wrong! I’m 6”3 235 and it was not an issue. Was it like home? No. Was it functional, yes. Easy to use? Yes! Minimal stank? Do yourself and your family a favor. Get one! It will be great in a camper, hunting, fishing shanty, emergency’s, (like my 5 🚨 alarm) one, yes! I don’t usually write this long of a review, but this is a great product! Really!

Seems a good product - not used it yet. May never need it but a great bit of emergency kit to have when camping.

These are THE best and only bags to use for a portable potty (or bucket with toilet seat)! They are the perfect size, are double layered, and have the smell gel already in the bag! You do what you have to do, and seal the bag....no risk of leaks, rips, or any issues. No smell issues at all.
