We've just had it installed about a week. First, if you have small children, or narrow hips, the possibility of family members disappearing is real! As some have mentioned, really wide, but we don't have small children and find it very comfortable. It does have a tilt up at the front, but it's not annoying to us. Second, it's quiet. It's replacing a Bravura which, of course, had the handle in a different spot, and was a bit noisy when the pulsing was going on. Also, the AMS has a very light push required. None of it a big deal, but worth mentioning. Replacing Thetford with Thetford, it bolted right in. One point I would mention, the bravura has a high water inlet, the AMS is low, right where the line comes thru the floor. Fortunately? when pulling up a little linoleum, the builders had cut a hole I could put my hand thru. I just pushed the inlet line over, now I have a big hole. But that's an easy fix. Make sure where your inlet line is relative to the centerline of the toilet. It is a bit wide, check your measurements, but our 5th wheel has a downstairs bathroom with plenty of room. a final note, for now, the spray nozzle doesn't get water to the front of the bowl. We are off grid and have about 60psi, your experience may differ. So far we haven't had a problem with the underside of the seat that many talk about, and my wife appreciates the ease of keeping the porcelain clean over the plastic bravura. We'll see. I'll update if we have any issues.

My Thetford hand flush toilet in my 2003 Dutchman class C was not holding water in the bowl. We delt with this for years until the lid broke. I opted for the nicer ceramic bowl replacement, even though we were used to a hand flush. This unit came well protected and with all the bolts and gasket seal needed. The ONLY issue was the water hookup. My water supply came straight up out of the floor directly up into the back of my old toilet. The supply inlet on the new one is parallel to the floor at the bottom of the toilet. We had to use a sawzall to open the floor some and redirect the hose 90 degrees. We also had to get some PEX clamps and borrowed the crimping tool from my son. We opted to do this properly instead of just using flexible tubing. After the bowl gasket warmed up the new toilet performs flawlessly. The bowl cleans nicely the way it sprays. We've gotten used to the foot flush... Overall, I'm very happy with this unit.

We did use the model number off the one that was not working correctly. It arrived as expected and works perfectly. It was easy to install. Everything was included that was needed to install it except a new "flange" type fitting needed for the water inlet. We used the one off the old toilet and it is working fine.

Great direct replacement, install is very easy with the exception of the factory did not center the bowl properly over the base. I corrected this by loosening the two hold down bolts and shifting to bowl to center and retightened the hold down bolts, hope that doesn't void the warrenty but it needed doing and should have been caught during the QC process. Also bought the flange mount gasket only to discover it was included with the toilet including the mounting flange nuts and bolts. The marketing should indicate all of what's included with the purchase. Buy this toilet as it decent and easy to install but don't buy the flange gasket and related hardware as it's already included.

Good toilet. I had to buy this to replace the one that needed a new seal and water valve. The 'stop' on the lever's return spring is part of the base plastic casting. It is undersized and broke when re-tensioning it. I tried to fashion a repair piece from aluminum but there wasn't enough purchase. Crappy design or maybe a built-in gotcha.

Buyer Beware!! This supplier is not an authorized Thetford dealer. Generally, this is the best RV toilet on the market, however, not from this supplier. The top and bottom sections of the toilet they sent us did not fit together right out of the box. The toilet they sent us failed from the beginning and broke completely within 10 months. Because they aren’t an authorized dealer, Thetford would not warranty the product. We’re out nearly $200 because of this. Amazon needs to inform their customers of this abhorrent business practice. If I could give negative stars, I would!

Wider than any other toilet I have ever had. Made for people with big butts. If you are very skinny you might fall through.
