Brilliant design. Works great! Way better than tablets, which keep dissolving even when you're gone, and never last as long as the listing says. I have hard water and don't flush every time, and this stuff works. Love that it has no dye. Smell isn't noticeable unless you stick you head in the toilet. Check out the ratings on the refills. People who use this system love it. I'm on that list now.UPDATE: I now have them in 4 toilets. First one still working after six months on original cartridge. Here's what to expect.First, the tubes are extra long. They can easily be cut with scissors. Leave an extra inch or two and curve them.Second, the cartridge may be loose and leaking. Turn it clockwise.Third, for the first few weeks, it might work so good below the water line that the part above the waterline will look dingy. Be patient. In a few more weeks, the top will clean up to match just from the flush water flowing over it.

Because the reviews on this product were mixed, and I *really* hoped it would work, I decided to take a chance. Not a good idea! It was very easy to install, so my fingers were crossed when I flushed the toilet for the first time. Like many others have mentioned, the unit (not the attaching tubes) leaked and shot bleach water everywhere!! The whole purpose of this unit is to have water flow through it, be mixed with the "cleaning solution granules" (aka, dried bleach) and then go straight into the overflow tube of the tank and directly into the toilet bowl. That way, the bleach solution doesn't ruin the working components inside the tank like a drop-in tablet can. Unfortunately, when the bleach solution is leaking everywhere out of the unit, it's whole purpose it shot. The unit was defective - there was no apparent shipping damage to the box or unit itself. Because it contains a "hazardous material", you can't even return it and get your $$ back!! Still like the idea of the product - will try another brand!!

I got two of these for our house. The install was pretty easy. I have standard tanks. When installing make sure you push the tubes all the way on the connections, mine needed to be pushed over the last bit to make a good seal. Otherwise it would leak a little. While this does do a good job of keeping the bowl clean so far. The aroma of chlorine is pretty apparent. Even when you walk by the bathroom door it smells line an indoor pool.

Florida water is awful-at least where I live. We use these all the time. Yes, we still have to scrub our toilets, just not as often. I highly recommend this product.

I bought both this and a similar product by KSend which is about 66% cheaper. So I'll do this in more of a comparison review.Value:- The KSend is cheaper at about $10 and uses standard toilet bleach generic pellets.- The NeverScrub! uses their refill cartridges that are filled with bleach granules, the refill cartridges are around ~$5 each and are supposed to last up to 90 days -- however the cartridges are easily disassembled, and you could likely break up some generic pellets to refill.Quality/Construction:- The KSend is Made in China and the plastic feels noticeably more flimsy. You have to really screw down the cap or higher pressure water systems will cause it to leak.- The NeverScrub! is Made in USA and the plastic feels more reinforced/rugged. You also need to make sure to secure the top as needed. It also doesn't hurt to put some hose clamps on if you have high pressure in your water lines.Function:- The KSend pushes water through the housing and then directly out the other side into the outlet tube, because of this wide-open design you tend to get a powerful smell of bleach in the toilet, and the bowl water is noticeably "yellowish" from the bleach being in the water.- The NeverScrub! uses a more restricted path with the water flowing in the bottom, getting pushed through the bleach granules, and then back out into the area where it leaves the housing. I didn't notice any strong smell and it seems apparent that there's not as much bleach being dispensed with this design (a good thing).- Both seemed to keep the bleach from getting in the upper basin assuming they're properly secured and installed.Conclusion:Given the fact the NeverScrub! design seems to meter the bleach better and feels like it's built to last longer overall, I'd have to recommend going with that design -- I relegated the KSend to the guest bathroom just because of the strong odor. The downside of the proprietary refill cartridges is mitigated by the fact the cartridges are easily refilled with very little DIY.

Great idea, and does work.Out of the box, the two tubes it came with were bent so much that they needed trimming. The ends were both oversized and would not stay on the plastic barbs on the unit. - easy fix, not a big deal, and not the reason for 2 stars. - just a packaging issue.Installed and set the tubing up. First flush I saw two leaks. One from the top and one from the line-in at the bottom of the unit.I took the top off and inspected the o-ring. Was In good shape, so I added a thin coat of oring grease. This grease is plastic safe and good to go in these applications. It fixed the top leake.The bummer part, that dropped 3 stars is the leake at the intake. The barbed male part, whete it meets at the base of the unit was cracked. No fix for that, except for some two part epoxy. Not worth returning and getting another.I used light 3/16 spring clamps as well on the tube to help keep them on.My toilet has an adjustable valve to adjust the water to the bowl. I have it set to 1/3 open. Not a lot of pressure, but enough to fill the bowl and preserve the fixes crack.If the cartridge lasts a month or more, I might try my luck again with another, for the other bathroom.If they had packaged the unit with the tube not installed, and wrapped the main unit with something, I bet the crack would not have occurred, and I would have given 5 stars.

The previous toilet bowl stains disappeared and the bowl is staying white and clear of any hard water stains. Smells fresh, a bit like a hot tub as it likely uses similar chemicals. Should be good for 3 months so just need to find a good place to shop for the refills now.

Installed it into my teen son’s toilet because he’s a typical kid who hates cleaning. 2 weeks later the bowl needed a clean regardless. Helps a bit but not a replacement for a toilet brush.

You either have to buy new plastic inserts everytime or a whole new device.
