Used to replace a 25 year old keyless system
I used this AUTOHAUX keyless system to replace a 20+ year old system that had quit working in my 1970 GMC truck. The wiring was the was same, down to the colors of the wires. Even the new actuator mounting hardware was the same as the old actuator hardware. I just cut the wires off at the old keyless module connector plug and spliced the new keyless module connector plug into the existing harness. Everything works fineThis new system uses one 5 wire lock actuator and my old system used two 5 wire lock actuators. There doesn't seem to be any physical difference between the new and old actuators. So I didn't need to replace my existing lock actuators. By having two 5 wire actuators I can lock all doors by manually locking either door. With the old keyless module, the driver's door lock actuator would not unlock the door. Just by changing out the old keyless module with the new keyless module got the driver's door actuator working again. The range on these remote key fobs is great. I can lock or unlock the doors easily over 50 feet from my truck.

Didn't know this was possible
My door locks freeze up every winter and it was getting difficult to unlock the door. I searched YouTube for directions on replacing the locks but found videos for this keyless entry system. Not going to lie and say it was easy. Installing these took a long time but wasn't too complicated. This was well worth the cost and effort to install.

Works but be ready for some work.
The system works, you should watch several videos before buying so you know what you're getting into. The wiring took about 20 minutes just to get sorted out, but for the price that's not bad. Mounting wasn't terrible, my vehicle was difficult based out how the mechanism was oriented but second one only took me 20 minutes to mount once the door panel was off.My biggest issue was the buttons working backwards for the driver's door lock, when I pressed unlock, the truck would lock and vice versa. I spent a long time trying to figure out how to reverse the solenoid (hours). I could have just gotten used to it, but I didn't want to. I tried swapping blue and green but that just made the mechanism open and close non-stop, the same thing happened when I switched brown and white. I finally found that if I switched brown and white while also switching blue and green, everything worked as it should. I also had to switch blue and green for the only other door I installed.Be sure to route wires out of the way of the window. I had to take my door apart a second time after rolling the window down disconnected all the wires.

Works very well (2004 civic dx see review)
I was looking for a kit for my cable-driven door locks for my 2004 civic dx. Everything I've tried has failed to do the job. I've ruined a few sets of cable locks attempting to use a "traditional universal style" lock kit. Nothing worked & I was left scratching my head."Why not just try the standard locks that come on higher trims, I thought?" If this did not work, surely I was at a dead end. The process for removing the door lock mechanism was a bit laborious, BUT the dx trim does have the ability to utilize the factory lock motors, they just were never added due to being a base model!! With those installed, locks wired up & even going so far as to use a factory door handle/lock combo it all worked!!At last, power locks were had & this simple little kit helped immensely.

Easy install
The media could not be loaded. I was able to connect to the fuse box on the interior drivers side of my 2010 Silverado using an add a circuit fuse tap to the constant 12v power for the cigarette lighter. A bit lucky to not have to run it up into the engine fuse box. Would not have had enough supplied wire to get there. Pulling the five wires through the boot was a little challenge so had to use some wire I had laying around to pull it after wrapping in electrical tape and then lube. Mounting the actuator was easy. The hardest part was connecting the brass rod from the actuator to the existing locking rod. I had very little space to work in my door panel (1” diameter hole) so on the second door I made a whole to get it done fast on the passenger side. I used thread locker on the rod connector and screws. Took about 3 hours in total including electrical taping up the rest of the extra cord and tucking it away. Easy for someone remotely handy and way cheaper than paying a garage $600 to do it.

Works great
Great product so far, 2 doors done and works great. Mounting actuators was hardest part, not for amateurs and purchased my own mounting hardware. Wiring however was easy yet time consuming, had to lengthen door wires as expected. Over all very impressed for the cost! A little loctite is your friend! Will be adding an alarm to the vehicle and wiring it to lock brain through toggle access. Roberts your mothers brother and thew alarm will control doors!

Single handedly one of the most difficult things i've had the displeasure of installing.
After having to make several more purchases because this didn't work with my specific truck, I somehow MADE it work. Honestly, this kit probably works wonders for certain vehicles, just not mine (a 2nd generation tacoma) The only things i really kept put of this kit was the ECU, wires and the fobs, all of which are still currently working fine. The actuators and brackets just would not work on my door frame as-is. If you're not 100% confident in your mechanic/redneck abilities, you may fail with this. God speed and good luck

Worked great, until it didn’t…
I liked the simplicity of the install. It worked great for a couple months. Now it clicks and flashes the lights, but it does not lock or unlock the doors. The controller is not sending the correct power out to the actuators. I can not find a number or I would reach out to the company.
