Not for a 5-6 year old, maybe for a 9-10 year old.
I wish I could recommend this item but cannot. It is truly not a kids watch. It is probably a watch for a young person but not a kid....certainly not a four or five or six year old.The little star inside of the square is difficult to press in order to see the time light up. The pressure that one has to apply is far more than a child can.I really wanted this watch to work for my little granddaughter, it does not and I cannot recommend it.

Cute
Very cute watch. Instructions were clear on how to set the time. My husband was a little confused when he first opened it. He did not expect the numbers to shine through the material. These are marketed toward girls, but my son loves cute things and they had blue so he wanted it. I don't know if he put it on too tight, but he did say it left marks on his skin. He may have been leaning on it.

Really cute
Cute watch. My daughter loves it. I ended up getting two because I thought the first one was broken. When you remove the face cover, that's it. It looks like a screen is missing, but that's the screen there. I think it's a cool feature. It looks like nothing more than a bracelet until you press the face and the time displays.

My girl loves it. Just note it is not water resistant at all.
When we got the watch, it appeared as if a piece was missing. However, nothing is really missing. When you press the internal button, the digits appear as if from nowhere...Just note that the back part is fully sensitive to even a few drops of water. It is by no means water resistant. So be very careful with this watch and water...

fun concept but doesn't stay covered
Bought this as a gift for my 7 year old daughter who wanted a digital watch so she could tell the time. She loves it! only problem is that it doesn't stay covered . I wanted to return for another watch but my daughter insisted on keeping it so we did!

Daughter loved it
My daughter loves it, at first we thought it didn't come complete as you open it looks as if the brain of watch was missing. But found out later after playing with it's a white digital screen.

No interface!
Received the order today and it was missing the watch interface! My daughter was very disappointed!
