Surprising value for the money.
Once I opened the package, I immediately fell in love with the color, quality and weight of this beautiful Cross Ballpoint Pen.First of all I'm not one to usually spend money on any type of office supplies, the bare basics available at any walgreens, cvs or walmart is usually enough...However after starting my new job (in a white collar environment) and having to take datailed notes (for hours) every day. I have noticed (and can definitely appreciate) the higher quality of a smoother writing instrument. It is for this reason that I decided to look up better quality pens than what I have been typically using... And that led me to this cross ballpoint pen... 1st of all I didn't know what exactly I was looking for, all I knew was that I wanted something better than the typical 12 for $5 pens.Yes it is much more expensive than anyone really needs to spend on a pen, But I decided to treat myself... And I'm glad I did.To most people the quality of your handwriting doesn't really make a bit of difference... However since I decide to dress my best everyday to distinguish myself, I decided that I might as well get a pen that matches my outlook and attitude at work.I will seriously consider getting 2 or 3 more...

good pen
Good working pen that you can use daily. It has a bit of style and the price point is good, if you lose it somehow....I had a good Montblanc beforehand and lost it in a Post Office...this pen serves just as adequately for a fraction of the price of the Montblanc.

Cross Quality
I liked the first one I bought last month, I decided ordered another. Now I have one at home and one to travel with me. It has a nice weight without being heavy. It feels good holding it and writes smoothly. The ink dries quickly without bleeding through the pages. I'm using one for journaling and find I can write on both sides of the page. If I had an improvement to recommend, it would be that the cap it a bit hard to take off and it doesn't stay on the other end when I'm writing. Perhaps the cap will eventually come off easier after the pen has been used for a while. In the case of it not staying in place on top as I write, perhaps the pen is not designed to be used this way. I do have a fondness for longer pens. It comes in a sturdy, giftable box. Beautiful gift for any occasion and for anyone who uses a pen.

Pretty, but the ink it comes with bleeds
The pen is a very pretty coral color, and a good weight, not too light. It is also thick enough to be comfortable to hold. But the ink that comes with it is horrid. Every time I twist it open for use, there is a blob of ink, and it blots on the paper, while skipping and not making any smooth lines. I need to draw a few lines for it to write smoothly. No matter how pretty a pen is if it doesn't write well it is a disappointment. I think I need to change the ink, even if it is new.

One of a kind
I've tried fountain pens, ballpoint pens, gel rollerball ink pens, but I keep going back to Flairs. I find felt-tip pens the easiest to write with, and I like how the ink appears on paper. They're different from all other pens. But I also like a good-looking pen, and for ages my only option appeared to be plastic disposable pens. Finally I have a good-looking pen that can take a medium felt-tip refill. Also this is a unique-looking pen, different from most while looking very stylish. I opted for the classic black and silver. It looks great in my dress shirt pocket and it writes with ease. I finally get the best of both worlds.

Beautiful Pen
My partner, who owns many Cross pens tried this one out and said, “for the money, this is the best, smoothest writing pen he’s used.”Good weight, smooth twist action, great ink flow.I’ll take his word for the mechanics, I’m just in love with the Coral color and writes beautifully for a lefty who can have problems with pens at times.

Should'a Got the Purple One
I use this pen at every possible opportunity I can. It writes smoothly and I rarely have trouble with the ink clogging or running slow. I'm very glad to have a fountain pen.I do often have a problem with the ink getting all over under the cap between uses, but I guess that's my problem for carrying it around with me all the time (even point-up). I doubt fountain pens in general are designed for that.I bought a Cross Fountain Pen Converter, Screw-in Style (8756) for it which fits it perfectly and works very well, but I've only been able to use it with WATERMAN Fountain Pen Ink, 50 ml Bottle, Absolute Brown (S0110830) which flows a little fast. I want to try it with a better quality ink to see if it flows better. My only regret is that I didn't get the purple one. The purple lacquer has a bit more metallic glitter to it while this one is a solid black.
