I didn't know my (bass) guitar's neck curvature, tried 7.5 (no), then 9.5 and found what I thought was a match. Sure enough, the Fender spec said 9.5. I then checked the neck string relief (should be 0.012" per Fender's Neck Relief spec). It was a bit low, so I loosened the truss rod a bit and then found that the 0.012" gauge barely fit between string and fret.A few minor annoyances:- the feeler gauge had substantial oil on it, I suspect to prevent rust.
