Diwa 12000 spinning reel
I do dungeness crabbing from the pier and I am a little surprise the reel is really smooth as advertised. I spooled with Kastking 30lb monofilament line and got above 350yd maybe more if I spooled it tighter. The reel had no issue reeling in a 6oz from the pier. I only give a 4 stars because when I removed the spool to tie the my line. I noticed the gear exposed under it is made of plastic. This made me feel that over time, the reel will lose strength and fail on you. Overall, it is lightweight and the black and red pair very nicely with my Fiblink 10' surf rod. I reduced this from a 4 stars to a 2 stars because after about 2 months of use on the weekend, this reel is broken. The knob that is used to hold the reel handle broke off and this caused me to loose a Dungeness crab on 02/24/2019.

The 8000 works perfectly with my 15 foot surf casting rod.
An inexperienced horse rider accidentally let her horse knock my rod and reel onto the sand, and then it got splashed by a sandy wave. I politely let it slide. But I thought my reel was done for. But after rinsing it with a jug of water, it worked perfectly. The 8000 version is definitely big and heavy, but it’s a power horse on the beach and definitely durable.

I wouldn't recommend these to my worst enemy!!! It fell apart in my hand, as I took it out of the box..

Great Reel
Purchased this reel to do some surf fishing and it hasn't let me down yet. great casting and smooth retrieve.

Poor manufacturing plastic parts
This reel came broken inside did not find it until 3 months later when I used it on salt water and it didn’t work and too late to return there fore I do not recommend it to anyone

Fishing all day
For the price it’s great I just used it for creek fishing in saltwater .. caught 2 monster fluke off the beach ..the key is to lube the reel before first use then after every time you use the reel rinse with fresh water and a few squirts of lube dry with hand towel or rag I use jb 80 it’s great lube for fishing equipment it will last and have no issues

Absolut Mist und anmaßender Produktname - auch wenn ohne "a".
Wir haben 2 8tausender Rollen bestellt und erhalten. Die Rollen sind weder Süßwasser noch salzwassertauglich da fast jeder Bereich der Rolle ungeschützt und empfänglich für Staub, Salz, Sand, und kleine Steine ist. Besonders die Spulenachse ist exponiert. Bis auf die Spule besteht die Angel Rolle überwiegend aus billigen Kunststoff , der die haptische Qualität von Graphit bei weitem nicht erreicht. Wenn hier jemand 4 Sterne geben sollte, ist das gewiss fake!
