Actually contains plum, more than just a sweet sauce
One of the few brands that actually contain plum, as opposed to soy and bean mixtures. It definitely adds to the flavor, and is closer to what I remember from childhood.

NOT gluten free!
Was trying to find gluten free hoisin sauce. The specific ingredients didn't show up in the ad so I asked RUFUS. According to Rufus, this product is gluten free. Wheat is one of the ingredients listed on the bottle when I received the product. Not good. I should have known when I didn't see GF anywhere on the bottle. So much for trusting Rufus.
