New Metro KA-TH Original Beater Blade Works w/ KitchenAid 4.5 - 5 Qt Tilt-Head Stand Mixers, Grey

This is the best beater for my Kitchen Aid mixer. The rubber edges do a good job of scraping the bowl while mixing ingredients. I stopped using the beater that came with the mixer once I started using this one.

I ordered this Beater Blade back in June 2016 and have been using it for the past 4 years. I use my KitchenAid a lot more because I no longer have to stop and scrape the bowl. A few months ago, I was dumping ingredients in the mixer when I heard a "pop" sound. It was then that I realized that I had forgotten to defrost my butter. (I broke my plastic cookie dough blade for my Bosch mixer the same way, so I did know better). Even though the blade has a crack in it up at the top, I have continued to use it, and now I am looking to get a replacement. I use my Bosch mixer for large recipes, and my KitchenAid for smaller items because there are less pieces to wash. Pros: Attaches to the mixer just like the original Effectively scraps the bowl It is plastic, so it will brake instead of the mixer if the ingredients are too much for the mixer to handle Cons: Supper squeaky with the mixer is first starting up. It is plastic and can break The price has doubled since my first purchase 4 years ago The Chinese product that is comparable to this is half the price I have found that if I cover the silicone bade in butter before turning on the mixer, the squeaky noise subsides. Even though I have loved this blade and I need a new one, I'm not sure if it is worth the current cost of $30. The genuine Kitchenaid blade is listed at over $40 it is metal and only has the scraper on one side of it. I did purchase a Chinese product last week for $7.50 and the blade came without the scraper part on it. So, did I get what I paid for with that one, nope because it is unusable and I am trying to get the company to replace it.

This is perfect in my 5 Qt bowl of my Kitchen Aid mixer. It really scrapes the sides and bottom of the bowl very well.

I would give a 5 star but not made of metal like my kitchen aid attachments I misplaced my paddle attachment needed one fast making a batch of professional sugar cookies I sell and was a big order it’s a hobby I love making these cookies and people have started ordering but I needed a paddle for my kitchen aid it’s plastic not metal but so far so good with the hard plastic I was worried the price is great and it does a great job! Speed on high and rubber sides really clean and mix sides of bowl when blending! Does a better job for a great price than I expected it’s still a workhorse so far so good! Also fits my 10 speed kitchen aid perfectly!

When I found the Metro version, it was right when it arrived. Don’t bother with all of the knock offs - they won’t be as good if they fit at all. My first metro lasted nearly 30 years.

I have purchased this paddle 3 times now. One for myself years ago, one for my BFF and another for me as back up because I know the price of this scraping paddle is amazing vs. The competition. When I say that I couldn't live without this Kitchenaid fitting pattle, it's far from exaggerated experience. I litterally use this attachment in bread making to start as well as other baking batters, frosting etc., at least once a week. Say goodbye to dropping your mixing bowl for constant scraping. I haven't used a spatula unless I'm turning out batters after mixing is complete. This paddle is constructed of heavy duty plastics and rubber edge. The KA-6L Paddle fits my 7 qt. Perfectly. I would highly recommend for yourself as well as a gift for anyone who owns a kitchenaid stand mixer. My kitchenaid mixer came with a rubber sided paddle which has no inside to it. I used it once and found it useless. I'm very happy to have found New Metro Original Beater Blade.

On December 23, as I started to make some cookies, I realized my original Kitchenaid paddle was completely oxidized and turning everything it touched black. Panicked, I sent my husband out to the store to purchase a new paddle and he came home with the wrong size. When I checked the stock at that particular store and same brand stores in the area, they were completely sold out of everything so I was sunk for making Christmas cookies. Once the holiday was over, I started searching for a replacement paddle. This one popped up several times, but I scrolled past because I was concerned about the fact that it was plastic. However, after doing a bunch of research, I circled back to this product simply because they showed how to measure the size of my bowl to make sure it would fit. Yesterday I finally decided to make a batch of oatmeal cookies. Now I should process this by saying that I have had this KitchenAid lift mixer for over 20 years and the paddle and whisk have never hit the bottom of the bowl properly. I have an odd 5.5 quart lift mixer that never passed the dime test. I’ve been used to having to mix by hand several times during the process of making a batter to ensure that everything on the bottom is getting incorporated into the batter. Making this batch of oatmeal cookies was the most pleasant experience I’ve had since owning this particular model. I didn’t once have to scrape down the sides or make sure that the bottom was mixed because I could see that it was all getting done by the mixer without any interference From me. I will update this review if anything goes wrong in the future with this paddle but so far I am absolutely ecstatic! I wish I had purchased this or even known about this product sooner it would have solved so many of my problems. I think I’ll look to see if they have any other parts for my machine!

This is a great blade beater if you know what to expect: the handle is made of an industrial plastic material which created a different "feel" when attaching the paddle to the KA Mixer. Also, measure the width of your bowl, especially the lower part, to ensure that you have enough friction (and not too much friction) in the areas where the paddle touches the bowl.

Con questo accessorio non è più necessario utilizzare la spatola per "spostare" l'impasto nella ciotola della planetaria. Occorre però regolare la vite che si trova sotto la testa della kitchenaid in quanto non perfettamente identica in dimensioni alla foglia in dotazione. Non adatta a impasti troppo solidi perché è di plastica. La utilizzo comunque per impasti di torte, creme etc, la prima acquistata mi è durata più di 5 anni dopodiché ha iniziato a sbriciolarsi la parte in silicone e l'ho sostituita. Soddisfatta.

Gekauft, weil beim Original von Kitchenaid eine sehr hohe Bleibelastung in der Farbe nachgewiesen wurde, somit ging es gleich in den (Sonder)Muell. Bleifrei und genau so gut. Danke

La pieza no es metálica, es de plástico. La regulación de la altura del bol la tengo en la más alejada posible (pala vs bol). De momento, cumple su función
