I got this for my son's costume. He loved it. It was of better quality than expected. Can easily shape the brim.

Love this hat! Was exactly what I needed for a pirate costume. Received plenty of compliments. Fit well and surprisingly good quality. Its definitely not a real leather hat that will pass down to generations. But for what it is, super happy.

Does NOT have adjustable Velcro on the inside to adjust size. Other than that, great hat !! It loses a star for that.I will figure out a solution..

Girlfriend is tall with broad hips and shoulders, so she didn't want some dinky little hat. This one was exactly the proportions she wanted for a head-turning look. She's a commercial fisherman and we live on the coast, so there are many events a year where she likes to dress in pirate regalia. Eventually I want to make her a custom leather tricorn hat, but in the meantime this one works perfectly and was definitely worth the money. She purchased some black ostrich feathers and those made the hat look more pirate-y. There is a velcro strap inside, probably to adjust the size, but we were in a hurry and didn't really mess with that. She said she has a large head but still thinks a wig could probably fit underneath the hat if she wanted to.

the idea of bullets on a pirate hat is cool...but not even close to accurate. Conical ammo was not even invented until the 1800s. Everything pirate related was musket balls. Wear this and pirate, historians and firearm enthusiast will think you are an idiot.

When I got this hat, I was a little concerned because it didn’t look anything like the picture. But then I realized that it arrives flat and you have to bend it into the tricorn shape, which is easy to do because of the wire in the brim. Now it looks super sweet! And it fits my fairly large head. Definitely an adult sized hat, not for kids. The material is a fake suede but it feels good and doesn’t look cheap or like a crummy costume hat at all. The only part I wasn’t really happy with is that the bullets are not sewn on symmetrically, the leather strips are off. But not enough to give it less than five stars. My husband did have to point out that authentic pirates would not have used bullets of this caliber. Just in case you care.

I love my new pirate hat. It is solid/firm, yet you can still bend it to the shape you like. I took a chance and purchased it even after reading all the "it's too big" reviews. I am not petite and I found that it is in fact big/loose but it fit well enough (didnt fall off my head) and worked for me. I accessorized it with a bandana and feathers and it was perfect for my pirate captain outfit. It was a hit at the party event we attended and I received multiple compliments on it. Everybody loved it and thought it looked great! I'm very happy with my purchase and it's my new favorite pirate hat.
