I have had so many scissors that don't last. These scissors are strong, sharp and durable. They fit my hand comfortably and are very reasonably priced. Thank you for making such a reliable and excellent product!

I am thrilled with the 2 kitchen scissors I received today from Spring Chef through amazon.com. I have been using a ‘Wustoff’ kitchen shears (excellent brand otherwise) for a while now, and because it comes apart into 2 pieces, it has unexpectedly separated and dropped to the floor, a few times point down! I wear flip-flops on our tile kitchen floor, and have luckily jumped out of the way, however the last recent time, was enough. I finally took the time to research another pair, and this brand fit all my criteria-- They did NOT come apart in two pieces; stainless steel for putting into the dishwasher, especially after cutting chicken (I’m sure they designed that for easy dishwasher loading, however that was never a problem); and SO reasonably priced that I decided to purchased two! Furthermore, this kitchen shears comes with its own safety case blade cover that snaps into place and will stay on in the utensil drawer. The overall quality, and this additional safety feature, impressed me. I love these scissors and look forward to relying on them daily as I enjoy cooking, and often need them for 2 separate uses the same day. Great product! By the way, I’ve already put the Wusthoff pair that separate, into the garbage, as I wouldn’t want anyone to whom I might have given them, to get hurt... Whew!

These are so sharp and they cut so clean and it feels really nice to have a brand new pair of scissors for food only. I really love the fact that it has a cover so when I toss it in the drawer I know that it staying clean until I use it. My daughter likes to make mini pizzas in the microwave and when she takes them out they kind of don’t separate very well so she loves using the scissors to cut the slices. It’s much easier than a rolling pizza cutter. I love them for chicken. Always cuts out that we are little spot on the chicken breast. Plus it’s really nice for opening food products that you know you’re going to be preparing.

My previous kitchen scissors cost $16 for two at our local big warehouse store. They were sharp, and they were full size, but the hinge screw kept coming loose. I had to keep a philips screwdriver beside them and tighten it every day! And, they had the chicken bone cutter slot which I do not like, because anytime I was cutting something and slid it into that slot by mistake (which was often), the portion in the slot wouldn't cut - a constant nuisance. So I searched Amazon and ordered a pair of these. After a few months of daily use trimming fresh vegetables, cutting up mailing labels, opening mailing bags, I can report they work fine. Nice and sharp, sturdy blades seem thick enough, no rust, hinge remains tight, and comfortable enough handle for my hands ( I wear a nen's large size glove). My only wish is that the blades were a bit longer - seems like price competition is resulting in the blades of most kitchen shears getting a little shorter as time goes on.

These shears are a must have for you! They cut sooo smoothly and there are just so many uses for them! I really like the protective case too! I don’t know how I ever survived all those years with my old, cheap and beat up kitchen scissors! And they are actually attractive to look at! Oh yea-I don’t want to forgot to tell you that they handily cut up a whole chicken-went right through those bones like a champ! These shears are worth their weight in gold!

Very sharp, heavy and feels sturdy. Outside edges and the point feel a bit too sharp but it might wear off with use. Comfortable handles.

Bought these to replace another pair of kitchen scissors I had. The handle on my old pair broke when I tried to cut some very hard plastic (note to self: do not do that with these). These are a great pair of standard kitchen scissors that you would find as a staple in any Korean kitchen. They cut noodles, meat, etc. very well. I only wish they were red, but oh well what can you do. I did know they were black when I bought them. They came with the case/cover, but I don't use it.

We needed a new pair of meat shears, our last pair took a beating. I have never used this brand before, but the price point and reviews caught my eye. The tipping point for me was the blade cover, safety first. These things handle very well, feel solid, stainless steel construction, and have a nice ergonomic handle. Before I used them to cut or trim any food, I used them to cut some fabric. They did an excellent job. Very easy to clean and disinfect. They also slide into my knife block with the sheath on, another plus for me. I would recommend it and purchase again. Noticed some people complaining about rust. Here are some tips to extend the life and properly care for your shears. After every use, wash with soap and hot water. Make sure to reach the area between the blade and the handle. This is where bacteria can grow which might result in food contamination. Dry scissors by hand with a clean towel immediately after washing, especially the hard-to-reach areas. Even if they are made of premium stainless steel, oxidation takes place when there is moisture present, and rust may develop. Apply a small amount of food-grade mineral oil after drying, giving more importance to the screw and hinge areas. This ensures the blade to move smoothly and prevents oxidation when exposed to humid air.
