I bought this to monitor the temperature of the exhaust pipe on my maple syrup evaporator. It works perfectly! I can make sure that it is burning hot enough to keep a good boil while also making sure that it isn't too hot and burning up the exhaust pipe. I love that you can set minimum and maximum temperature alarms.

The alarm will go off but won’t go off again later when it gets above temperature again

Relatively simple to install and the operating instructions are online.Purchased a second unit: 1st meter for the stove internal pipe alarm to warn of immediate potential Chimney fire; 2nd meter to adjust the slower moving temperatures within the fire box.
