Very disappointing compared to my other Acctim clocks !
I have 7 Acctim clocks including a couple of the cheaper Parona ones, but I thought I would pay a little more for a clock for my home office. The first thing I noticed was that the outer double figures (00, 13, 14 etc) and also the second hand were not green as shown in the pictures on the web page, so disappointment straight away. When I put the battery in and the setup started OK but was not the same or as smooth as the other clocks, then hand moved very 'jerkily'.Next, the second hand is varying between landing on the minute line and between them, so no consistency there, especially if you are trying to time something in seconds, it is useless.Next the minute hand - when the the second hand is on the 12, the minute hand is just over half way between the minute divisions, and only lands on the minute division when it is 20 seconds past the hour, so it is 20 seconds out.Lastly the "noise", this is not a quiet clock, it is about 3 feet above my head and I can distinctly hear it ticking, and that is above the noise of my computer fan.Let me compare this to my 3 Acctim Parona clocks : the ticking is very quiet, I have to put my ear almost touching the face before I can faintly hear it.The second and minute hands line up 'precisely' so no inaccuracy at all, these are great clocks !Conclusion :Compared to the cheaper Parona, this clock is absolute rubbish, I have actually paid MORE for a much inferior clock, just what is going on ?I would have returned it but I stupidly threw the box out (it came late afternoon delivery) and the bin men came early next morning, I wrongly assumed that the clock would be OK and in any case it is such a hassle now to return stuff, and I am disabled with no car and I am housebound can't get to the post office.I can't see me wanting to keep this clock as there are too many things that irritate me with it and of course trying to time anything accurate is impossible and I WILL replace it.. but I doubt very much if I will be an Acctim clock I replace it with now.I really can't recommend this clock at all, in any shape or form, a sundial would be more accurate for timing things. The 'radio' part works absolutely fine, it is a shame the hands don't reflect the accuracy though Acctim really need to look at their QA control is this is what they are churning out now.My advice : DO NOT buy this clock, look elsewhere !

It's a clock
Unbox, set it running, hang on wall. I next checked a couple hours later and it was, and still is, telling the exact time( to the minute). The 'second hand' jumps from second to second and does not smoothly rotate, so you have the dilemma, when is it true. Just as it lands on the second marker, or while it is on the second marker, or when it leaves... with a sweep second hand you would see the second hand cross over the point at the exact moment. so for that reason, I award 4 stars. Sweep second hand is not selectable. There is no output option, no remote supply option. Cannot be linked without some extreme activity to my PC or any other application. The face is covered by what appears to be polycarbonate plastic, fine until accidentally broken and you will have sharp shards that could cut skin. Do not use near to any other radio emitting equipment as that may interfere with it. Not suitable for mobile homes, or homes in earthquake zones. Does not transmit on WiFi or Bluetooth. May not work well inside a metal hulled ship or barge as that may act as a a Faraday cage and stop the receiver receiving the time signals. The battery should carry it over dead spots for several hours, but not tested. Its easy to read in a well lit room even without glasses. But, in a darkened bedroom I would remove the plastic protective 'glass' as it reflects ambient lighting and obscures the clock face for those who like me, wear reading glasses. It would not be too hard to attach a couple of white LEDs, to enable reading in the dark, but they would of course, require an additional source of supply voltage.

Minute hand slightly out of synch
Not that much of a problem, but the minute hand is just a tad out of synch with the second hand.

Accurate and stylish
We use this clock in a library, where its accuracy, reliability and relatively quiet tick are all appreciated.

Very clear easy to read.
in simple terms a plain looking basic clock. The kind you'd see in a radio studio, large white face, clear black numerals, with a different coloured sweep seconds hand. Though I was a little worried that the signal might not fully reach over here to the emerald isle, the radio controlled auto setup worked perfectly for me. And so far is keeping perfect time.
