This product worked great for a couple of weeks. Then one day I was using it on the same iPad that I always use it on, but a QR code was displayed. The adapter would not mirror my display. I scanned the QR code with my ipad camera and it took me to a website in China!!! On that page, you have to click a link which takes you to the Apple app store and asks you to install a dubious app on your device (the app description is totally unrelated to this product).This product is a scam to get you to install an app on your iphone/ipad which then could be some kind of malware to steal your data. I'm reporting this to Amazon.

I bought this dingo based on a lot of positive reviews back in December. However they ran out and might have used a new supplier as the one that was shipped to me is completely faulty. I borrowed one that was made by Apple and it worked perfectly so these newer units being shipped out are junk!

Plugged it in and hit “trust computer” and it asked me for the device passcode. There’s nothing anywhere for a device passcode. Waited 20-30 seconds and tried various generic passcodes like 0000 and 1111. Nothing works. Try a different adapter. This one’s junk.

It now says it in the description (maybe it did the entire time and I just missed it), but beware that this will not work without being connected to a power source. We have used a friend's that did not need power so we know they exist...turns out this is not one of them. Ours does work when connected to power though.

We bought this as an extra and tried it when we first got it. It seemed to work and so we put it in our computer bag until we needed it again. unfortunately it was a couple of months later before we used it, and now it does not work. And because the time to return it or get support for it has run out, we are stuck with an expensive adaptor that does not work.

The one shipped to me must have been faulty because it didn’t allow any of my products to be mirrored on the TV. I tried with a neighbors adapter and theirs worked like a charm.The one I got must have been defective.

Although the product description says I should be able to stream Netflix and other videos, I cannot see anything. Also a upc appears in the screen and my phone asks if I should ‘trust this computer’. Besides that it changes my clock and says that I’m at 100% charge no matter what. I have an iPhone 8 Plus.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas so she could watch her iphone videos on the TV. It does not work at all. Once plugged in to the TV it gives a floating QR code to some bullcrap iphone app that is riddled with misspellings and dead-ends and only leads to further frustrations at the money that was wasted on this gift. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU ENJOY THROWING MONEY AWAY!!
