I don't know what all the rave reviews on this product are about, unless I received something different from everyone else. The brackets in the listing appear black and what I got are raw steel. If left unfinished these will rust. Sadly, I'm going to have to return them because they are not the quality I was expecting at all

These brackets seem sturdy enough, although I haven't installed them yet. But as others have noted, they are unfinished steel, not painted black as shown in the item page. For unfinished steel brackets, these things seem waaaay overpriced.

Purchased 3 sets, attempted to install them and they don't hold the weight as described. I requested a refund and was not able to return the item and now have 3 sets of paperweights. Note that these will rust and are not well finished. There is rustic, and then there is cheap. These are cheap.

These are holding up about 100 pounds on one of the shelves (with two brackets) and doing great! I didn't love the raw grayish, metal color so I spray painted them black and they look great!

The shelves look great, but with just the weight of the board, they are not at a perfect right angle (one of the brackets was slightly off to start with). I might have been better off going with a bracket that has a support built into it.

We used 5 sets (10 shelf brackets) for the shelving in our kitchen remodel. These look great and are SUPER study. We put heavy dishes and kitchen appliances on the shelves and the brackets don't bend or give at all. If you like the Industrial Farmhouse style, I can back these 100%!

I ordered a boat-load of these! The brackets were everything as advertised! Yes, they were expensive but DEFINITELY worth it! I am very pleased! I am using open shelving in my kitchen and dinning room areas and these brackets have done the trick! I have several shelves with heavy dishes and glasses sitting on them and the brackets have held everything nicely! Two Thumbs up to DIY Cartel - EXCELLENT product, EXCELLENT service! To those who are considering these, absolutely go ahead and order! You will NOT be sorry you did! Thanks again!

I love these brackets! They’re perfect for a DIY shelf project. They come uncoated so you can spray paint them any finish that you’d like and you can hang them a few different ways. Worth noting that they do not come with hardware to install, so you’ll have to grab some pop-toggles/anchors and screws to when you’re picking out spray paint.I ended up painting mine “pink peony” by rustoleum and they look great.Edited: I grabbed more of these to do shelves in our bedroom (all green to blend with our wall) and they did come with anchors/screws this time! Love these.
