A Toy Worthy of Leia!
"SNOWBALL" is our Leia's very most favorite toy. We always keep an extra in the toy box because she carries it around constantly and occasionally will lose it in the yard or under a piece of furniture. When Leia loses "SNOWBALL", there is absolutely no peace until she gets it back. No other ball will do, even though she has a whole assortment of different colors, sizes and textures. She loves to play fetch with it. She loves to play hide and seek with it. She loves to play tug-of war with it. She loves to chew on it. She loves to suck on it when going to sleep. She loves to smack it in her mouth and listen to it pop. She really gives her SNOWBALL a workout and this thing is so tough that it stands up to her constant play and does't fall apart like most of her other toys. This is one of the few that she cannot figure out how to destroy. This is HUGE because Leia is a strong, athletic and active dog whose mission in life is to see how fast she can "kill" a doggie toy. Most don't last very long at all, but SNOWBALL takes all the punishment she can dish out.She also loves to slather it with slobber! That is why I appreciate that Planet Dog makes safe, non-toxic pet toys that I can give to my dogs without worrying about them getting cancer or some other nasty disease. So Leia can enjoy her ball and I can rest easy. It is a win-win for everyone.

Had it for a while and dog still loves it
This ball is great. While taking our dog to training the trainer had a very similar ball. Our dog immediately went after it and loved to chew on it. We bought this one hoping it would be similar. There were some slight differences, but our dog still fell in love with it.She is a big time chewer. She loves the sensation of chewing things very hard. She can get that satisfaction with this ball and hasn't been able to gnaw it to pieces like most of her other toys. I think because the surface is smooth and doesn't have ridges, she can't really get a grip on it with her teeth to gnaw. The ball is thick and sturdy, but still soft enough for her to bite down hard and squish it, which she loves. She is about 40 lbs and measures about 22 in at her shoulders. If you have a similar sized dog, they will definitely like this ball. It may be too big for a small dog.

Smells like mint!
Size of a tennis ball - with holes in it. My dog is in LOVE with this ball. We have to put it up at night or else he brings it into our bed to sleep with us. It has great bounce to it too - and so far he hasn't destroyed anything but the lettering, which has rubbed off. I like how easily everything rinses off of it too. The only annoying bit so far was how it was packaged, with the tag pierced through one of the holes... I had to sit there with a set of tweezers trying to pull out that bit of plastic from inside the ball. I have no idea who came up with that brilliant choking hazard of an idea. So make sure you don't just cut the tags off - you have to get the bit that's inside the ball out too, which will require tweezers or needle nose pliers.

Planet Dog Makes the Best Balls for Fetch!
I saved my review for after one year of use by my border collie mix. The ball is in great shape after a year of heavy play. The word "coal" is gone but the rest of the ball is in great shape. This dog destroys tennis ball-like toys, ripping the cover off of them. With the Planet Dog balls (we have several) he doesn't try to destroy them. This is a great toy if your dog likes to play ball and is rough on toys. But some people said their dog ripped it up. Maybe if your dog gets its kicks destroying toys, it will destroy this one too. My dog destroys a lot of things (shoes, stuffed animals, other "indestructible" dog toys) but has not destroyed this ball in 12 months of active play.

Nice alternative to KONG for chewing (doesn't stink like rubber)
This unassuming lumpy ball is tougher than you'd expect for something that feels somewhat pliable. It's fresh peppermint scent doesn't appear to be a deterrent to our spaniel (although it's no match for his rotten breath). The lettering did get washed/ scraped off rather quickly due to the dog's saliva and general gnawing on it, but it's minimal and I'm not terribly concerned about it. It's fairly bouncy and hollow, so we play with it in the house and outside. He really likes squeezing it (no squeaker, don't worry) and just kind of pumps his jaws on it. Anything to keep him occupied! The holes also prevent him from making a vacuum seal with his tongue, etc so I don't have to worry about oral injury - a major plus. Because it has holes, it makes a very soft almost-whistling sound when thrown (similar to the ChuckIt Whistler ball, but wayyyy quieter).I dropped a star for the lettering b/c I think the printing on the toy is unnecessary to begin with and the fact that it just rubs off with normal play is a bit of a waste. Company could just save itself some $ by skipping the printing step.Would definitely buy this product again, as well as other products from this company

This Snowball has Won!
I don't get it!! Honestly, I am baffled by dog toys. I have gone through probably about 30 different types of dog toys in a search for one that my English Shepard could enjoy for longer than an hour. My search has ended with this snowball!! Storm Shadow (my dog) has not been able to destroy this even after being left to chew on it after play and fetch! He plays with it just about every day for at least 15 min (many times longer) and its still fully intact after 3 months. The reason I am so confused is just like some of the negative reviews stated here I have reviewed a few toys the same negative way that others have found to be indestructible. I guess you have to find the right match of dog and toy. I have conquered this life's quest with a snowball!!

Mint scent!
Okay weird thing is I missed that this toy has a mint scent. It was really strong when I first opened the package. A week or so in, it's faded. I wasn't sure how my dog would feel about mint. He doesn't seem to notice. It's a little weird but we're both okay with it. Overall the toy is great for chewing and fetching (no minting dog breath has been detected thus far). Planet Dog makes the most awesome toys. Never disappointed.

Expensive but very durable - A+
My 30kg staffy-rottie cross has destroyed pretty much every toy & chew he's been given except the gold standard of dog chews - kong extreme & and could probably chew through concrete if given long enough (concrete being weaker than magical kong extreme rubber obviously!). The snowball shows small signs of chomping and I feared for its longevity at first but a couple of weeks later and it's still in tact and still holding interest. The boy makes a terrible squelchy slurpy noise while he chews on this but that seems to be the only downside. VERY expensive for a squishy ball but cheap compared to the 20 normal balls he could have destroyed in the same chewing time.

Dogs are so happy with this ball.
Dog's favourite ball. We had one from last Christmas that did an enormous bounce over back fence into neighbour's garden where we had little chance of retrieving. Very happy to see exact same ball on Amazon, so ordered a replacement. The original one was returned. Dog is soooo excited to have two bouncy snowballs. She is a real chewer and destroys most toys but with these being squidgy silicon they are still intact. So not cheap but great value as they out last any other ball we have ever purchased.
