Great addition for speedlites
This is a great addition for compact modifiers to your speedlites. I use mine with a Godox AD200 strobe on location, mostly with the magnetic grid (sold separately). I can be a bit tough to put on, but once you get it on it will stay there until you decide you want to remove it. Two compact powerful magnets are located on the unit to make the full line of MagMod accessories compatible. I use this mainly for on location wedding photography, and with the optional grid it helps me to control the spread of light to a tight beam. This one was a replacement for the one I was previously using. After a few years of abuse, the old one had finally started to tear ( I am generally very rough on my gear if it's not a camera or lens). Because it's basically a giant rubber band with magnets on it, after enough exposure to the elements or getting snagged on sharp objects it may tear. As long as you're not rough with your gear like I am, you should expect years of use out of it!

Hard to stretch over flash
I love my defuser and it works great for wedding photography, however this grip is very hard to put on your flash. I have a pretty standard flash and it took me over 20 minutes to finally stretch this and get it to stay on. It says universal, but there is no way it is. Now that it is on my flash, I never want to take it off because it will probably be too hard to put back on. This also means I can't store my flash in the case because it doesn't fit with the grip on.

excellent for grids, gels still need work
Bomb proof grid system on my Canon 600s. Gives me a tight fairly leak - proof grid.My biggest disappointment however is that the gel holder is still not strong enough, despite that they made stronger magnets in version 2.I'm a full time photographer who does a lot of corporate events. I carry two bodies + speedlites hanging from hip holsters. Virtually every event one of my gels falls / gets tugged off my speedlite, falling to the ground. Fortunately staff almost always finds my CTO gel holder on the ground and returns it to me, or slaps it on nearby metal (fire extinguisher case), or they help me find it if I ask.Despite all the help from staff finding my lost gels, I've permanently lost one gel holder + gel (version 2) and lost one grid (version 2). To be fair the grid scampered away after the suction cup holding my speed light to an exit sign failed, letting the speedlite fall 8 feet to the ground. Normally the holding power of the grids is excellent. But the lost gel holder fell off or was tugged off in normal use. It's like throwing $25 bills on the floor every time I shoot. The holding power of the gels, even version 2, is inadequate.

MagMod is the only way to go for shooting on location
I love the MagMod system. Like most people, I started out with the cheaper systems that I sort of piece-milled together. Save yourself the headache (and yes the added cost) and just jump into the MadMod ecosystem...you will be happy with it.

See my written review. Great product!
This item works fine and is mandatory to use as it through magnets couples various Mag Mod devices to your given speedlights. PLEASE NOTE: You may need help stretching this item over and around your speedlights flash head due to the band's thickness. Unless that is you have fun watching your flash go ZOOM out of your hands. It WILL stay in place once you affix it to your flash! I LOOOVE my MagMod devices!

A standard in the industry
This product is a good product. Fits on basically everything and makes swapping out light modifiers much easier than other velcro based products. I'm happy with the quality. I do feel it is a bit pricey but not unusual for quality products.

Perfect
I didn't realize that I needed this when I ordered by diffuser. So the diffuser wouldn't attach to my external flash. Now that I have this grip, the diffuser works just fine.

A 'Flash' of Inspiration
As a professional photographer, I shoot many weddings a year and over the years I have been in search of the holy grail for excellent light from my flashes. Often I am using portable studio heads but you cant keep lugging the around.I have tried all sorts of gimmicks claiming to do this that and the other and they sort of work. But 'sort of' is not good enough especially when clients are paying very good money. So I wasn't really sure about the MagGrip but trust me, they are wonderful. It is the first product that gives me excellent controllable light and I cannot belief how good they do this - wonderful. There is one day side and that is they are quite heavy but hey, I can live with this.

MagMod, MagHype, MagMoney - MagNificent!
The MagGrip is a very expensive piece of rubber that I took ages convincing myself I needed for a second flash. I had already bought the MagMod starter kitThe Magmod name is gaining cult status among many photographers and at first I couldn't see what all the fuss was about but....now I've got it, I love what it has added to my workflow. Being able to change attachments so quickly and easily is so cool and the light from my Magsphere (aka Magboob) is pretty darn good.Whether I buy more from the range will depend on the fine balance of true need over cost. I suggest that you start small and grow.

Quality product, the real thing!
Had a lookalike product with sphere, constantly falling off and eventually lost it shooting a wedding. Got the real deal which is obviously more expensive but half a dozen more wedding shoots and countless media shoots and it’s never shifted. You get what you pay for. Results are amazing, a great little diffuser set up.

Good but expensive
Magmod products are good quality but a little overpriced for what they are
