Swivel Stud Picatinny Slot Adaptor Kit

This was exactly what I was looking for, and wow - for such a small price it's heavy-duty and well-made and has a nice pad under it to protect the stock when it is put on. It's very secure, which is something I was worried about when I got it. It's tight and feels like it was original equipment. There are no instructions and only takes a few moments to figure out. The only thing I had to do - which has absolutely nothing to do with this adapter kit - is the accessory I wanted to put on overlapped against the threaded part and I had to Dremel the accessory's connector (a front mount handle/pop-out bipod). Highly recommended if you need this adapter.

This UTG Swivel Stud with the picatinny slot adaptor is the solution if you want to mount any kind of quick release mount to non AR style rifles. I specifically use it as an adaptor to mount my non AR hunting rifle to a tripod. It works great for ground hunting. And when I need move location, all I have to do is release the quick release clamp to part the rifle from the tripod. (I will attach pictures when I get a chance)

I bought this and the Lion Gears one. This one allows use of sling after installation. It was so inexpensive I bought it anyway. Positive: This one still allows me to mount the sling. It mounts easily. Solid body & well made. Negative: It could be longer, i.e. 2 slot Picatinny. The arc of the mount where it contacts the stock does not match well (Savage 93)

Sturdy with good lock down on the swivle so it doesn't damage the stock or swivle stud. Worth the money

PRO: Does the job A-OK. I have two, one mounted on a Ruger American .308, the other a Ruger American Rimfire. Accommodates a Leapers Low-Profile Deluxe Picatinny Bipod just fine, which I use on both rifles. CON: The sling attachment swivel stud mount is just a wee bit on the large side, compared to the stock swivel stud that comes on (in this case) my Ruger .308. (But, I don't have that issue with the same adaptor on the Rimfire). So, the sling swivel attachment doesn't swing freely (it must be mounted in the vertical or horizontal position), which may annoy some users. I suppose I can file it down some to ensure free swing - project for another day! Also, you may need to manually tighten the screw now and again after throwing a bunch of lead downrange. I suppose a little blue Loctite would help, if you don't intend to remove the adaptor.

This kit is included with the UTG bipod I purchased. It is a breeze to install, and holds solid with no twisting. Pros; - Light weight - Easy to install (I added a series of pictures demonstrating) - Has a rubber pad to protect the gun Cons; - It is easy to twist the swivel extension when tightening, you need to hold it with something to keep it true - Only one "groove", they could have fit 2 or 3 in the space - possibly this was done to help stabilize a bipod I really like this kit. I recommend it highly. ** Update ** I liked the kit that came with my bipod so much that I bought another one. The new kit's cross-screw was not centered in the swivel extender. In order to get it to fit I had to drill out the swivel stud on my rifle. Not a huge issue, but something that could be corrected with better quality control at the factory.

This is a good adapter kit as I have a few. But IMO it depends on the long gun you have that you will use this with. I have two on Remington 700 rifles (wood stocks) and they fit fine (never need to make an adjustment). I have one on a Mossberg with a wood stocks that also works well. But I have a Savage w/ a synthetic stock and another Mossberg with a wood laminate stock. After shooting 30-40 rounds at the range, the stud requires a little hand tightening for both rifles. Nevertheless, 5 stars as its a good stud at a good price. Just keep in mind IMO, they need a little TLC when used with synthetic or wood laminate stocks

Works well, and I've never had an issue. These adapters are good for the bipods to which they are intended or for some small accessories like lasers or flashlights.

it works great but it is a little bit expensive for what it is and what it is usefull ...

They fitted perfectly on my savage 17hmr. Great quality at an amazing price. I'd buy again, UTG makes affordable good qualiy products.

Does what it is supposed to do attached easily provides a Strong support. Light weight bipod works works great nog issues.
