Do not underestimate the power of this stuff. It reacts VIOLENTLY so start with a small amount and work your way up. Works great, take all safety precautions for ventilation and skin protection seriously.

It certainly works to unclog your drains but releases some nasty fumes while working. Make sure your room is ventilated and/or you wear a mask. It is caustic so gloves and eye protection are also a good idea.

My bathtub drain was so badly clogged that we were only able to take a quick shower before the tub would fill up. It would take an hour to drain back down. I tried every other drain product. Nothing helped. I wasted tons of $ on other products because this was a small container for the price. Had I just purchased this first I would have saved money because this is all you need. I did need to use the whole bottle. I used the two applications, but my drain flows free now which I didn't think was possible without a plumber at this point. I didn't use protection at the first application but did during the second. I had no idea the power of this product. It sounded like a demon was in my pipes once it was activated. It did bubble out and I did have to pour the second cup of water in both applications. Following the directions exactly both times my shower tub is now clear. I'm here now subscribing to have this come every few months because summer is coming and there will be many more showers with long haired family members lol and I know it will back up again. It's just a fact of life here. Anyone who is doubting the price against the amount of product shouldn't. It's well worth it. Think of how expensive a plumber is and you can't put a price on that amazing feeling when the water just swishes down the drain. It's priceless.

I had a rental house with the bathroom sink totally plugged with hair. Literally fistfulls. It even happens at home periodically to a much lesser degree. I heat up the drain with a slow trickle of hot water if possible. Put in two heaping teaspoons and rake it into the opening. When it starts to sizzle and boil I cram the stopper shut and MAKE the stuff go down under its own pressure. Magic! A few minutes later the drain is totally clear. Wear glasses, and hold your breath. (That's probably why Drano quit making the power crystals because careless use has consequences - it worked too good.)

Didn't like the fumes - irritated my nasal passages. I have used Black Swan Power Crystals for about a year. My house has a drain that was getting stopped up abut every 2 or 3 months. Since using BSPC once a month the drain has not been stopped up for over a year. The plumber that unstopped my drain about a year or so ago recommended this product. I have recommended it to friends and family and so far they have had no drain problems.

I didn’t think these little crystals would be strong enough to unclog my bathtub drain because I had tried Drano and Liquid Plumber multiple times and they would only help slightly and even then only for a few days. I used these crystals one time approximately 3 weeks ago and my drain has been perfect since then! I am beyond pleased with this purchase. For full disclosure, I was a little scared by the amount of heat generated when I poured the water on the crystals in the drain to activate them, but thankfully I was fine (even though I was a bad kid and didn’t follow the instructions about protective-wear). I would recommend following the directions though because once the crystals were activated, there was fizzing and a chemical odor released. Overall four thumbs up (mine and my boyfriend’s)!

It didn't work on my drain, but I don't believe it is the product's problem--just my clog was more serious. I can see the instant bubbling, so I suspect that it will work for the vast majority of bathroom clogs. However, honestly, I am afraid to use it. I took all precautions--gloves, long sleeved clothing, mask, etc. I could tell it was quite caustic and powerful. Minutes later, maybe half an hour, possibly even more, I leaned against the rim of the sink and felt an intense burn on my arm. I think some of the dust got onto it, and I had not noticed. I didn't suffer any real harm--I ran my arm under cold water immediately. However, it made me think that it might be just a little too much for me, so I won't use it again.

I have had a slow draining bathroom sink for a very long time, I have used the stuff from the grocery store and it only marginally improved the flow. i used this product two times and now the sink drains perfectly, no back up when the water is running full. This stuff will get the job done folks!, just use common sense when using it and please read the precautions on the label.
