Good tool
Accurate, works well, calibration tools all included. Need to supply your own DI/distilled water but otherwise great

It works, and works well.
I wanted to check the accuracy of the pH sensor our pool had. I also hate using those tester strips which require identifying if the colour is light yellow or pale amber... I mean, really? Plus those strips are calibrated for a specific temperature, so any result you get with them will likely be wrong if your water temp is outside the norm. Anyhow, I hunted around and this seemed to be the one a lot of people recommended. It came in a neat little kit that included everything you needed in a hard shell case - although I'd recommend also buying some extra storage solution as the included amount will not last long. Use is super easy, and it automatically adjusts for temperature. You can also modify the settings so the backlight changes colour if the reading is outside the ideal numbers. I wondered why the case had an empty spot, then I realised that was so you could stand the tester up with the cap filled with storage solution. A really nice touch. If you want to keep it in the case with the lid closed, you just need to remember to store it on the side so there is less chance of leakage from the cap. Keep in mind that if you store it in tap, pool, or distilled water that could damage and permanently impact the accuracy of the tester. They do say that if it is stored dry, then that will also impact the accuracy of the sensor, but this can be fixed by soaking it in storage solution for a few days. Personally, I'd just get the storage solution - it's not expensive, the cap only requires a small amount, and you don't have to replace it after every use so a bottle will last a while. As for accuracy - I don't have a lab quality reference device to test it against, but it definitely appears to be more than accurate enough at least for testing a pool at home. I can't say anything about longevity as I've only had it now for a few weeks, but the sensor is replaceable plus it appears to be well made - so I think it should last well if treated with the care something like this deserves. They do have a newer version of this that has bluetooth and a "new improved sensor". For me this is more than good enough I think, I don't really have any need to track the readings over time, and as much as I am a geek the additional cost didn't really seem to justify it. Overall, very happy with this tester.

Simple to use and efficient
Convenient and precise, easy to use, easy to calibrate, just perfect for monitoring sour dough bread acidity. Controlling the level of pH is much more precise to tell you where your fermentation process stands.

Good PH Testing Kit
Needed to PH water tester and after lots of research opted for the Apera PH60. Research easily indicated that going with one of the cheap ($10-$15) testers would lead to inaccurate and frustrating results over time so I decided to spend more and get a quality tester. When I purchased this kit, the price was a good value for all that was included and a strong factor in the decision. It has since jumped up by 25% so I got lucky with good timing. Still, the testing probe is well made, readable numbers with backlight and results have been accurate. I did a calibration upon arrival and it was pretty much right on form the start. The kit includes small bottles of 3 calibration solutions and buffering solution for storage. The case is a nice addition and keeps everything together. Instructions were clear and included on the laminated card in the kit. Make sure to use the buffering solution (good idea to get some extra) to keep the probe tip hydrated and accurate during storage. I chose this model due to it's accuracy, longer life when cared for properly and the complete kit.

Easy to use, well made, comes with all you need but a bit slow and doesnt seem to hold calibration
Nicely made and super easy to use, but find that it often can take several minutes to settle on a stable reading. Even when it comes up as stable, it will sometimes start changing again after 10-20 more seconds. Waiting on this probably isnt super important if you are shooting for just a semi-tight range and not a super precise exact value. Also found that every time I go to use it (lets say once a week at this point) when I check it against the calibration solutions, it's a little off and I have to recalibrate it each time. Hoping maybe there is a 'break in' period with the probe or something and that it will eventually hold calibration for longer. The way the tip of the probe section is (the plastic around it) it seems to often trap an air bubble inside it and can be a little tricky to shake the bubble out without just introducing a new bubble inside it. The timer for the backlight is pretty short but you can set it to always on instead in the options, would be nice if you could keep it on a timer but set it to longer so its not constantly turning off on you. The storage cap does not snap on, just press fit around a little gasket. It seems to always want to pop off ever so slightly, so when its laying down in the case sometimes the 3M KCL storage solution will leak out of it. Also seems you need to fill it slightly past the 'fill' line so that when its laying on its side the probe is completely covered. And speaking of the KCL, it comes with the tiniest amount so you'll probably want to pick up some more (which is common thing said in most of these reviews). It comes with a generous amount of the calibration solutions, but with the 3 vials for using during calibration, be careful with the tops. They need quite a decent amount of force (till you hear/feel a hard 'snap') to close otherwise they also will leak out into the case while they are on their sides. Then they are also a bit difficult to get the tops back off, they dont just pop off with ease, you have to force them off and I always feel like I'm going to spill them all over with how much force it takes to open them back up. The case itself is quite nice. The plastic does not feel cheap at all and the latches are nice and secure, except I do wonder if the thin plastic joint where the latches attach to the case will last after a while of them bending back and forth from opening and closing them. Inside the foam seems high quality and solid with the appropriate cutouts for each thing. The instuctions are very well done and simple to understand and follow. Overall this is a massive upgrade from the cheap test strips or testing drops etc. Not having to match up very slight differences in color shades and guessing which is close (especially if you're not testing something that starts off clear, such as a water/nutrient mix). Granted it's also a lot more expensive then those options as well, but the quality of it gives me the impression that it will last for a while (and with the replaceable probe, that should increase the lifespan though I will admit I have not looked at what a new probe would cost). Don't bother with the cheap digital testers that amazon is flooded with, go with quality from the start and you'll be much happier in the long run.

Quality Instrument
I have had my eye on this PH meter for some time now, as the cheap meter that I have been using for my home brewing and charcuterie hobbies is barely up to the task. Finally, the price on the PH60S fell to a point where I could not pass it up. The order arrived promptly, and as I unpacked it, the quality was immediately obvious. The unit comes in a protective case containing the meter, 4.0, 7.0 and 10.0 ph buffer solutions, calibration vials, and additional KCL storage solution. Also included are a lanyard for the probe, a printed user manual, and a laminated quick start guide/reference card. Set-up and calibration were fast and easy thanks to the clear and concise instructions in the user-manual. I was impressed with how quickly the readings stabilized during calibration and my initial testing. I was also pleased with the bright back-lit screen which made it super easy to read. I don't foresee having any issues with this meter, but if I do it will be easy to contact their support team since their phone number and email address are prominently displayed on a sticker inside the case. It is clear that Apera Instuments pays attention to detail. I highly recommend this meter.

Not worth it
I've calibrated this thing two times already. I've followed the directions and even watched the apera ph60 video on YouTube on exactly how to calibrate this. It will not stay steady for any second. The readings is all over the place. I've used the cleaner it comes with each time I've recalibrate it and it does not change. It's very frustrating to not know exactly what my ph is. This damn thing was $80. I'm not happy with it. Probably gonna return. Even when calibration it reads all over the place and never an exact reading. I paid the extra money for this because I want not only an accurate reading but a fast one. This is not it

Bon produit
Bon produit, un peu lent a stabiliser. j'ai change pour le PC60, pour a peine plus cher qui fait la conductimetrie egalement.

Excellent for Homebrew
I was looking for a ph meter for brewing and wanted something a little more accurate than the cheap Hanna one and all the really cheap Amazon ones. After some research I found this one. It’s exactly what I needed as it was just over $100 which was what I was looking for (trying not to get excessive and buy the Milwaukee) The accuracy is to .02 which is enough for my homebrew for sure. It worked excellent for the first brew I’ve done with it! The big thing that got this 5 stars is its an all in one kit. Comes with 3 point calibration fluids, little cups for them, and the instructions are laminated and are great. If you’re looking for a homebrew ph meter this is the one to consider for sure if you’re on a budget

Quite expensive, but worth it
I use a ph meter for plant nutrient solution. Previously, I had a couple of cheap China imports, which seemed reasonably accurate for a while, but don't last long. All ph probes degrade over time, so rather than keep buying cheap, I decided to get a more reliable one with a replaceable probe. This is quite expensive compared to some other brands with good reviews, say the Essentials PH Meter, and @ £29 the replacement probe is not much cheaper than buying a new Essentials meter. However, replacing just the probe reduces waste, and gives you options: there are 4 compatible probe types (all available on Amazon), which you can buy separately as replacements, or to measure different substances. The glass bulb is for liquids, the spear probe for solids, such as foods, soil, the flat probe for paper, cloth, skin etc. And you can buy an ORP (Oxygen Reduction Potential) probe to use with this meter, which tells you the "killing power" of your solution/water (sterilising or not, a simplification of complex subject). The life of the probe will depend on how often you use it, and how you treat it. The probe is supposed to last 12 - 24 months - it's CE rated for 6 months (for safe use), but that's NOT its life expectancy. It CAN be stored dry, without degrading it, according to instructions, but storing it dry will affect its sensitivity. So if you store it dry, for accuracy, you need to soak it in the provided solution before use. It can be stored in the soaking solution, but NOT in purified water. The kit comes with everything you need: soaking solution, 2 calibration solutions, batteries, lanyard (quite a long one), 2 containers for calibration, instruction manuals in English and German, as well as a laminated quick reference chart, all in a hard plastic case. The instructions are clear, easy to understand, and contain all relevant info. Instructions say not to use soaking/storage solutions from other companies, but as long as the same (potassium chloride or kcl @ 3 molar strength) and/or for the same type of ph meter, I don't see why. Will be ignoring that myself (no Apera replacements on Amazon, either). The calibration solutions will last quite a while, the soaking solution is enough to fill the cap to the mark about twice. 2 reviews for the replacement probe said the glass bulb was too exposed and breaks easily. I disagree - the bulb is inside and above the plastic rim, which does have gaps in the side, but doubt it would break if dropped on flat surface. IP67 means it's dust proof, and can be immersed in up to 1 m of water, or for up to 30 mins, depending on info source. It doesn't mean it's hermetically sealed, though. Overall, the meter seems robust, and looks like it will stand up well to any normal use. So far, would recommend, despite quite high price, as seems well worth it, all things considered. Edit: Have been using this for 6 years now, about once per week, and it still works fine. Have not calibrated it in a while, but it seems to be accurate enough for my purposes (fertiliser/irrigation solution for plants). Like the back-light feature, and it's very easy to calibrate. If it keeps switching to settings screen when you turn it on, it means batteries need replacing, the battery icon does not seem to show accurately. Have so far replaced mine once.
