surprised me, So much fun...
If you are already into the RC crawler scene, then you already know, I'll write this for those considering...I recently got into the "crawler" fun. My first purchase was the Traxxas High Trail, (cough) $700 later, after you buy the battery and charger not included. Yikes, I know but don't get me wrong, it is a very good looking and capable crawler, but $700 is a barrier to many people. But it gave me a particular perspective. The Danchee is surprisingly capable, has a feature that most RTR (ready to run) crawlers don't, specifically the ability to changes steering modes...With a click of a button on the controller (included) you can switch from1. Front wheel steering2. Front and back steer in the same direction (think crab)3. Front and back steer different direction (think monster truck)4. Rear wheel steeringIt is made by REDCAT, at least they put their name on it, and they have a pretty good reputation.Comes with battery and charger, albeit not top quality, but it works very well. I have yet to run the battery out. My longest stint was 25 mins. The tires are pretty tough, not foam filled but I have not seen them fold. It's actually good looking as well. Here's a list of things you should be aware of...It is made of plastic, but as long as you don't drop it off a cliff it will hold up.It is not fast. It's not gonna "rooster tail", but it moves pretty decent for a crawler.Upgrading the motors (there are 2, one on each axel) while possible will be a challenge, as they are enclosed in the axel housing. The servos don't have a lot of torque. This means if your tire is up against a rock, it may not be able to turn, but this is a factor in rigs triple the price range of the Danchee. Even the afore mentioned High Trail has issues. All that said, I love this thing. I have run it more than the High Trail lately. No regerts ;)If you want to get a good taste of the fun RC crawling can be, but don't want to drop half your rent money, this isn't a bad choice.

Awesome
Very capable crawler I didn't watch a review on unboxing it hope I did it right. Bunch inuts showing unboxing been unboxing stuff all my life and don't need to see your goofy face mister internet famous reviewer want to be. spend so much time on unboxing and trying to be cute they don't show vehicle running not great product reviews. The Owners Manual is missing a few things like one bag of plastic paces no idea what they are or where they go but since they sent like 8 of them its something that breaks guess ill find it at some point. Battery life is great lots run time unfortunately charge time take awhile be nice if had came with 2 batteries. The steering trim knobs on remote control are to ez to bump and throwing your alignment out be nice if they recessed once set so couldn't bump setting while crawling but is what it is. Great entry level RC for anybody no assembly just battery up and have Fun.

Super capable for the price
This thing is awesome for is price. Fit this one for my kid because he's broken every cheap big box store rc I've gotten him. I wanted something hobby grade, but kid friendly. This thing is a beast. Way mire capable than i expected. I ordered 2 extra batteries thinking the small one would die quicker, but it lasts almost a full hour. Crazy. Whether you're a beginner like him or more experienced with rc, you will enjoy this thing.

Great first crawler
Itโs a nice RC car that can go over most anything in itโs path itโs 4 wheel steering is nice to get around obstacles and trees that are in the way 4 wheel drive is great easy to operate and easy to control. It would make a great beginner RC crawler and can be upgraded pretty easily. As for upgrades it definitely needs some weight down low for better grip and stability. Would recommend for a beginner .

Way fun
I got this and the Ridge Runner at the same time. This has larger tires and is a little higher on the body sides. It offers an amazing value if you have always wanted to try crawling. The 4 wheel steering Is the true star of the show, and allows you to get in and out of tight spaces and really conquer just about any terrain. The tires are decent for what they are but would benefit from some softening (perhaps modifying the foam?). They grip well in softer mud and gravel, but seem to lose grip on smooth slippery rocks (most of my crawling is done in water worn stream beds and among glacial deposited boulders). Tires do have real bead locks which is pretty dang cool. I also think the tire do get better after spinning on rock to break them down a bit. The motor and servos are well up to the task and I never find myself wishing for more power. Battery life is about 40 mins of hard driving. Remote is comfortable and easy to understand and set up. About the only downside is the steering indicators are a bit dim in bright light and can be hard to see. I'm pretty new to crawling but not to RCs and I cannot believe I didn't get this years ago. I have more fun climbing rocks and such than I do ripping and bashing my other cars. To me this is the true off road RC adventure! If you like the challenge of picking a line and trying to make it work, than give this amazing machine a go. If you like it, the upgrades available for this are mind boggling, and if you don't find the thrill, then you have not invested a ton and are able to resell it for minimal (if any) lose.

Most capable Ready To Run 1/10 crawler at this price point by far!
This truck is an absolute steal of a deal! I can't think of another RTR crawler out there that can provide this level of performance at this price point. The amount of flex you get out of this thing right out of the box is insane! I have been able to take truck places where it has no business going because of the amount the wheels/axles can move without causing the car to roll or tip. The 4 wheel steering is so awesome. It makes maneuvering this truck around on tight obstacles so easy.It includes one battery and that has been more then enough for our crawling sessions. We typically get 30+ minutes out of a single charge. My boys and I usually go out and do 15-20 minute sessions after I get home from work once to twice a week. We usually get 2 sessions before we need to charge the battery. If you are the type that wants to crawl for longer then this I'd recommend picking up another battery. But this length of time is perfect for our attention span. The truck has proven to be durable thus far. We've rolled it, tumble end over end, sideways rolls, and every other way rolls you can think as we try to push it to its crawling limits. We flip it back over and it keeps going without any issues. The plastic body is holding up well. It has a few scratches on it, but we bought it to play with not to treat it like a shelf princess. But even then the car still looks great. The remote is easy for my 9 and 11 year old boys to use. It is intuitive, and after about 10 seconds of showing them what each knob an button does they were good to go. The Ridgerock is capable of going fast enough that it is fun for my boys to driving around on the grass or dirt. The remote has a throttle adjustments knob that makes it so the power and speed can be turned down so it is more controllable when you are are crawling up technical rock sections at low speeds. Or in the case of my 9 year old, I can also easily be turned back up so he can monster truck up the same technical rock sections at high speeds haha... Did I mention it is durable...Yes, the aftermarket upgrade support isn't really there for this RC crawler. But that's ok. I feel like most people buying this are not looking for something they want to sink a ton of money into to make it fun and capable. With that being said, I wish there was a bit more aftermarket upgrades available. But again, I don't think that is what Redcat was going for when they designed this car. Replacement parts are readily available in case you break something. Exploded diagrams with part numbers are available to help you identify what part you need to purchase. Plus Redcat customer support is super helpful.I bought this car for my boys to be able to use as a gateway vehicle into the RC crawling world. I wanted something affordable, easy to use, capable, and durable. It has served us really well for the past 3 months. I ended up picking up a Redcat Everest 10 I will be giving to my 11 year old son for Christmas as my 9 year old is slowly laying claim to this car.Only small criticism I have for this crawler, is I wish it was easier to see what steering mode you have selected on the remote. You have front wheel only, opposite steering, crab walk steering, and rear wheel only steering. In the day light it is hard to see which steering mode is selected because the light is too dim. It's pretty normal for us to have to cover up the remote a little so we can see the glowing red indicator. Other then that I don't have much to complain about. In short this is a fun hobby grade RC crawler. The 1/10 scale is enormous, as are the tires. That is part of what makes driving it so much fun. Even though I referred to it as a gateway crawler for my boys. I don't see us selling it anytime soon because of how fun it is. Sometimes you just need to get out and monster truck up and over obstacles.
