They look good installed, hopefully they do their job.
I bought two of these, one for the area near our gas clothes dryer in the basement and the other for the area around our gas cook stove in the kitchen. I installed them, plugged them in, they lit up and after "warming up" they appear to be working and smelling the air around them for gas. The tops of the units are warm. When you push the test button they alarm. Other than that I can't tell you anything else. Hopefully they are doing their job and if we ever do have a gas leak, they will let us know.

I think this is better than what I had before
My previous detector never went off. Eventually I tested it with gas and it never triggered. It was time to try something new.Read some reviews, and went with this one. From time to time I do get a false alert. Maybe not ideal, but I know that it is at least its sensing something. I'm good with it.

Did not work
I got this product after there was a natural gas (methane) leak in my apartment. Unfortunately there was another leak in my apartment after I installed this product and the alarm did not got off. I even moved the product to the site of the gas leak and it still did not go off. It is dangerous to put your trust in this product.

Functions properly and provides peace of mind.
This detector is plenty loud enough, the cord is a good length. If you have ceilings over 8 feet high and are using natural gas, You’ll need an extension cord unless you have plugs up higher than standard outlet locations. It feels somewhat cheap in your hand, probably juat because its so lightweight. Overall, I’m happy with tge purchase and have peace of mind knowing that I’ll be alerted of an issue.

I never had one in my 5TH wheel
This worked great I had a slight leak, this detected it and I got it fixed before I had any trouble.

I like the shape very much. It looks very strong. What's more, it passed my test and worked well. I haven't putted it in the kitchen. I installed it next to the central air conditioning because there was also a risk of gas leakage.
