They have less travel than the GPMs of equal size. They are emulsion shocks and must be mounted upright. If you mount them horizontally, there will be reduced or no damping. The 70mm and 80 mm versions appear to use the same valve body however the 70mm has a shorter shaft. Might be better to just buy the 80mm version and install a 10mm spacer under the piston. They are measured center to center of the mounting holes. There is very limited threaded area for the spring preload adjustment. Valving was a little slow so I enlarged the holes in the pistons. The included softer springs are just right for the front end of Tamiya’s Frog. GPMs were way to stiff for the front and way too soft for the rear of said buggy. Unfortunately, I received one with missing lower ball mount as shown in the pic, making it unusable. I only needed two so I won’t return them as those are installed on the buggy.
