This switcher is now an essential part of my small studio. Gradually I had been accumulating small HDMI monitors for various projects. This now shows all 4 images on one screen, and gets rid of the small pile on monitors and cables that littered my desk. Problem solved. The switchover was really easy, just a matter of plugging it in. I'm using it at 1920 x 1280. I was surprised at the low cost, and the excellent picture quality. It comes with a couple of accessory ears for mounting and the construction is very solid. Recommended.

Being able to split screen multiple channels is great! I use it mostly for sports, to be able to watch multiple games, but it was also useful for watching election day/week coverage this year. I have multiple Tivo Minis, so it's easy for me to tune in multiple channels and/or recorded shows and push them to the particular part of the screen I want. I find myself only using two of the modes the vast majority of the time. It is either the 4-way split with a screen in each corner displaying the normal aspect ratio, or it's the 4-way split with the 2nd/3rd screens in the middle on the top/bottom with a normal aspect ratio, and the 1st/4th screens in tall pillars at the left/right (since these are stretched vertically and unwatchable, I just turn those two screens off) and this becomes my favorite 2-way split view. Occasionally I'll switch to the full screen view, but if I'm going to just a single screen I'll usually just switch to my input with my regular Tivo instead as the full screen view doesn't seem as sharp and full resolution. I'm not certain if that's due to the device itself or if it's due to my cables and setup, but for my use case, the full screen view isn't that important to me. The other possible views all seem compromised to me with them either squashing the aspect ratio vertically or horizontally for some of the screens, so I don't use them normally. Depending upon your use case, they might be useful.Edit: After learning in another review how to switch it from "stretch to fill" to "maintain aspect ratio" (press and hold the Mode button on the front of the unit), all the view modes are now useful, and this unit is even better!

Sturdy, heavy, and well made. Now for some of the NOT so great things about this HDMI SYSTEM switcher. It will RARELY SWITCH HDMI inputs on the first press of the remote at about 15’, line-of-sight❗️Also blocks my audio level indicator on the tv screen.It’s remote MAY interfere with other devices. In my case, I have a large digital display clock that requires it’s remote to set the clock. The OREI HDMI Switcher’s remote INTERFERES with the digital clock.

Takes a little long to load as it processes images, but great and reliable item. Easy to use. Works as described. Prices fairly for what it does.

Exactly what I needed. I bought this because I grew very tired of playing Minecraft with my son,now he can play Minecraft and I can play whatever my heart desires in our game.You will need at least 3 HDMI cables,two for your devices of choice and one for your tv.The picture quality drops to 1080P when using this device,still looks good to me but buyer beware.While this does make sense,you do have to choose which of the split actions gets the audio. You won't be able to listen to all four gaming consoles in my case.Oh and this just applies to my snes but it is the only console connected that does not work properly when using it in a split screen of two

Is doing the job so far. Work well on my parents 1080p tv and helps them switch inputs much easier..

Picture quality is good. I only use the full screen and 4-split modes. My only real problems with it are that when you want to chose the input for the full screen mode, you have to press the button to cycle through all the inputs to get to the one you want - I would have preferred that you can just select the input directly. Also (minor) in 4-split mode you can't reorder the inputs, they are fixed to how they are connected to the box. The remote isn't very responsive, I seem to have to press buttons repeatedly to get it to respond. That being said, I am generally happy with it and so far it works well.
