Gaffer Gaffers Tape, 2 in x 55 yd, Black

Use this in place of duct tape for a wide variety of utility purposes (although probably not actually sealing up air ducts). It holds better than lower-cost duct tape and leaves no residue when removed. It costs alot more, but ends up being a good value (and it is a huge roll). Learned about this stuff setting up a music production. It is designed to hold down cords on stage, and remove quickly without a trace. It immediately replaced my workshop duct tape used for holding things in place and sheepishly, the occassional repair. The absence of sticky residue is a game changer. I'll never buy common duct tape again (unless I"m actually using it on a duct)

Don't skimp on Gaff Tape! You get EXACTLY what you pay for! I have tried so many others trying to save a dime! The less expensive tape simply will NOT do the job even for one show! Trust me, save yourself the trouble and skip the others and buy this fine, pro level tape that will actually stick to the floor, will hold your mic cables in place and won't make a sticky goo mess!

Absolutely one of the most useful things I've bought on Amazon. I originally bought this gaffer tape for stage use at church, but it has become one of the most versatile tools I own. It secures cables to the floor, holds song lists on stage, and even sticks setlists to my guitar without any issues. What really surprised me is how well it works for repairing and covering cosmetic damage on musical equipment. I've used it to cover deep scuffs, scratches, and worn spots on the tolex of my guitar cases and amplifiers, and it blends in far better than I expected while holding up extremely well. Unlike duct tape, it removes cleanly without leaving behind that sticky, gummy residue. It's easy to tear by hand, sticks securely, and has held up through heat, humidity, cold weather, and moisture without peeling up prematurely. I honestly didn't expect it to outperform duct tape in so many situations, but it has. Tears easily to size and sticks and sticks again if needed. A bit pricey but worth it if you need this type of tape.

There is a huge difference between gaffers tape and duct tape. Compared, gaff tape is strong, thick, is easy to pull up and doesn't leave any glue residue. I use this in a theater for all its intended purposes, such as making wiring safe and labeling things such as cabling and mic stands, and have found it pretty indispensable in general. I use many rolls, in different widths and colors, and find uses for them every day. Yes, it costs more, maybe even a lot more, than duct tape, but you’d be stupid not to spend the extra few dollars for this. And you’re not stupid, right?

Best Gaffers tape on the Market. No issue no compaints. Holds well and is easy to remove.

Bought this to use as edge guard tape on my pickleball paddle. Ended up buying this brand because of reviews and it works very well for my purpose. Very easy to tear, even lengthwise. The 2" width equates to 3 strips of equal width for my paddle. Adhesion is very good although I haven't tried removing it yet so I can't comment on any residue left behind. Much more durable than the previous electrical tape that I was using. The roll is about double the size of alternative brands so at the price I paid, it's not much more expensive than the substitutes. If you're purchasing this for your pickleball paddle, another option to consider is the off-brand edge guard tape sold on AliExpress.
