To spray paint Styrofoam heads

Anyone who has painted a few foam RC airplanes can tell you how hard it is to get paint to stick to bare foam. Even with proper surface prep, sanding, and cleaning paint does not like to stick to this type of foam and frequently peels away upon removing masking tape. Steps can be taken to minimize this, but I was hoping that the claims Krylon made about this product would make pulling less of an issue or even a thing of the past. Wow was I disappointed. I did all the steps in surface prep that I always do when painting a foam plane and got MORE pulling by using this primer. This primer stuck even less to foam than just using cheap .99 box store grey spray cans as a base coat like I usually do. As far as painting foam RC planes, I will say, don't waste your money. This product is very expensive and does not make the job easier.

I bought this product because it said it was safe for Styrofoam. As you can see from the before and after pictures it is not.

Melted my foam tombstone like any other spray paint. Waste of money but I can't send it back because its flammable.

The top surface was melted by this paint. It was as smooth as the sides.

After several coats (3) of this product, my foam still melted when i tried to paint it. Would not recommend and won't be using again.
