Bought 10th June 2019 | Real Use Review | No More Doggy Burps (and far less wind!!)
The media could not be loaded. So if you're dog is like our mad cocker spaniel, then you have had issues with your beloved pet eating too quickly, having bad wind and other dog type problems associated with gulping down food. Our cocker could wolf down her meal before we had even sat down with ours at the table - seriously, how do they do that? Nonetheless we needed to do something about it as it could not have been good for her and we were tired of her burping and letting off wind like it was going out of fashion (I've always been a cat person to be honest and one whiff of our cockers bottom burps reasserted this).Anyhow - we thought we had better buy this bowl after reading other reviews and doing our own research. As per the title of my review, we bought this back in 2019 and I always like to do reviews after extensive usage so you can trust my review and words. The pictures were taken before cleaning of course!Pros1 - Solidly made. This bowl has been bashed around and licked half to death and back yet it washes to like new every time. No chips, loose plastic or other concerns that we would have with our pooch swallowing - all good.2 - Has stopped excessive wind and burps through slower (not slow but slower) eating. It really has. We noticed this quite soon too and have not changed food/diet at all. What more can I say about this but I will hold off from swapping said pooch for a cat now.3 - Cleans easily. This was something I was a little concerned about to be honest. I had read other reviews that have had slight issues but we really haven't. We use both dry food and wet and it's been easy to clean for both. I would suggest just having what we call the 'dog toothbrush' for cleaning the bowl - it's just a small toothbrush that helps with nooks and crannies if needed. And just make sure you soak the bowl to properly clean as you would a normal bowl.4 - Stress - none. We were very aware of other products and reviews that mentioned that their dog got a little stressed by not being able to get the food. Ours loves it and the tail is wagging every time she eats from this bowl. She certainly is not stressed!Cons1 - Okay - so it's very difficult to call these points 'cons' but just some things you need to consider really. If your dog becomes stressed using the bowl then just don't use it. If we saw our dog becoming stressed we would stop straight away. Maybe this would be not eating from the bowl or other behaviour issues. You know your dog best.2 - We have a medium size dog and the food is given on a slate floor. We recommend you use a mat so the bowl does not slide everywhere (and it will) as we find the base slips even though there are small rubber grips underneath. It could do with rubber around the base so it does not move around but we find this something more really.3 - Consider the size of your dog. Again, ours is a medium cocker spaniel and she eats fine out of this bowl but maybe a very small dog or rather large dog may struggle? Again, just something for you to consider and take advice from others reviews.Give it a try and I hope this review has helped you as much as the bowl helped the windy backside of our cocker! Be safe!

It works
This product was bought to slow down our gorgeous greedy yellow Labrador who hoovers up his dry food and seems to swallow it whole. This product has slowed him down considerably and you can actually hear the crunch of biscuits. He has to use his tongue to get the food out of the shapes. Great product, would recommend.

Slows down eating time to minutes rather than seconds!
I have bought this dish after reading several reviews. I do agree that it's easy to clean and reasonably sturdy. The dish isn't very deep - even though it's described as large. It does hold either 75g or 150g max which is suitable for my lab puppy. She takes longer to eat her meals. I'm pleased she's willing to get every piece of kibble out of the maze like design without tipping the dish up with frustration. A good mental stimulation too. Highly recommend!!!

SLOW FEEDER
Read mixed reviews & watched the videos on some reviews prior to ordering. I ordered the Large (size of a standard dinner plate) probably best for Alsatian’s, German Shepard’s etc so sent back & ordered the Medium (size of a standard side plate) better size for my 28kg Staffy. He gets himself into such an anxious state & just inhales his food like he’s been starved for a fortnight. Anyway he took less time to eat, didn’t do his usual burp afterwards & he seemed to enjoy the challenge. The bowl itself seems robust enough for a staffy to navigate & didn’t slide about although I had it sat on a mat. Pleased with my investment, I bought 2 different patterns to swap each meal. I fit half a can of wet & half can of dry with some veg.

Game changer!!
Really happy for my puppy who is a foodie! She was like a vacuum with the food before, which was making her after a continously big gas bomb 😂 She is taking her time now to finish, about 10 min, and no matter how fast she wants to eat, this bowl is making it impossible. So she has to use her nose and eyes to find all the pieces, which is a plus exercise for her brain! The bowl is high enough to disperse the food between and I think is suitable for all sizes/breeds of dogs. The material is very sturdy and it doesn't move easily on wooden floor.Really happy! 😁

Disappointed
On first use my 11 weekold Golden retriever struggled to get dry food out . Picked it up in his mouth and just shook it out. On washing two of the non slip feet were missing . Found one not the other .! Waste of money.

Brilliant Bowl
Great value for money and most importantly stops our spaniel/retriever cross from gulping down his food in 1 minute, he now takes closer to 5 to finish his meal. Bowl holds a good portion of food and sticks well to our kitchen floor. Haven't cleaned it yet but could see it being slightly trickier given the maze pattern but for the price and function I would certainly buy again!

Decent puzzle bowl feeder
Needed something to slow down my greedy spaniels feed times, it was always wolfed down in seconds!I took a risk on this becoming there’s so many to choose and the price was reasonable. This little puzzle bowl has worked wonders, really slowed down feeds and makes them more focused.Highly recommend.
