2009 Mini Clubman S Check engine light came on and was diagnosed with a PCV Valve error code. For a 1/3 of the price, this aftermarket OEM valve cover solves two problems, either a check engine light code or an oily leaking top portion of the valve cover. The part itself has some weight and built in gasket, no labels with all black exterior. The positives crank ventilation valve (PCV) is integrated into the top of the valve cover and was easy to replace with very little tools. I purchased this item several months ago for my wife's 08 R56 Cooper S to resolve a pcv failure. The item fit perfect and solved my issue. My only complaint is the oil cap that came with the valve cover didn't fit very tight and came loose, allowing oil to splash all over the engine compartment. Luckily I'm a hoarder and I kept the old valve cover, which I was able to steal the cap from. The oem cap fit tight, as it did on the old valve cover, and I haven't had any issues since.

So I bought this from Amazon warehouse open box. The product seems to be working great but the gasket that came with it was trash. Bought a felpro gasket and all is good....except the crappy oil cap that comes with it. I just reused my old one so no big dealUpdate:. 4-5-21Dead. Service codes all over the place! Can't contact the seller and amazon won't help

Honestly, I don't have anything bad to say about this product. It did its job for a solid 4-5 months and that was about it. I wrote the company to see about a warranty of some sort and I am waiting to hear back. Install was super easy, the alignment was decent, not factory close, but close enough for garage work. It sealed up really nice and worked like a charm, just not very long.UPDATEI am upping my stars on this review due to their awesome customer service. Working with them I was able to get a warranty replacement peace pretty quick. I just did the install two evening ago and all is well in the engine bay again. I can recommend this product and company for the sheer fact of their customer service and the overall price of their product. Thank you!!
