The Sperm Meets Egg Plan is a step-by-step guide to achieving pregnancy without taking invasive tests, charting temperatures, or making mistakes in predicting your ovulation that result in mistimed attempts at fertilization. Designed by Deanna Roy after months of trying made her believe she had a fertility problem, the plan will help you time intercourse whether you have a typical or atypical cycle. It includes adjustments for common fertility problems, what to do if you are over forty, and considerations for trying again after a pregnancy loss. This booklet includes 50 pages of instruction. It should be a free download. This booklet is a THANK YOU to all the women who have supported Deanna's web site since the loss of her first baby in 1998. Review: A must read for anyone struggling to conceive - This was a VERY informative, and easy to read book. The book is relatively short, and probably only about 30 pages give or take in the book world. In the Kindle world, there is 820 pages. Here is a list of the table of contents: Who is this Deanna person anyway? Intro to the plan Summary-Refresher Detailed version of the plan Tips and tricks (and how to turn one) Trying to conceive over 40 The early days and chemical pregnancies Adjustments for common fertility problems Trying again after a loss Resources Sneak Peek of Baby Dust The author isn't a medical professional. She is someone who has been in the trenches of miscarriage, loss, and trying to conceive. She shares lots of personal stories, advice and her thorough research. A common concern is how to use ovulation strips correctly. She discusses this, and when the best time of day to test, how often you should test, and how to know if you've gotten a positive test or not. On the topic of ovulation, the author tells you when the best time to start having sex is, how often you should have sex, and how to keep it interesting. If you ever tried for a long time, you know how difficult this last one can be. Speaking from personal experiences, we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. After failed attempts at clomid and IUI, and many years of trying to conceive, we discovered this book. By following her plan we were able to conceive after a few months of hardcore trying. Something else that helped us (this is not mentioned in the book, just as a personal aside) was SoftCups. Google it. You'll thank me later :) Review: A must read after a loss! - The author has sympathy to comfort and insight to help build anew. A go-to guide I strongly recommend reading following a loss. One of the most difficult things following a loss is rebuilding your life in a healthy way that would make planning and expecting your next baby a wonderful, happy experience. As the whole topic is so much of a taboo these days, one can hardly rely on the usual coping mechanisms, such as talking it over with friends and relatives, sharing in their experience, having the facts straightened out, receive love and comforting or simply cry whenever one feels like it. The fact that a loss is something to hide and never to talk about has made my journey to recovery especially painful. This book (and a few others) has been my 'friend' in need during the months following my miscarriage. It comforted me, made me cry healthy, healing, crocodile tears a few times - and, most importantly, gave me the precious info to help me get back on my feet and start hoping and planning again. This book is a gem and I strongly recommend it, along with Rita Kluny's marvelous Your Baby Remembers.

Useful Resource
For a free ebook, this spells it out pretty easily. Easy to follow recommendations to increase your odds of conception. Very practical, thoughtful advice. Good alternative to daily temps, which seemed to stress me out.

I read this book just before trying to conceive our daughter. It was a quick read, but was very informative and helpful. I thought I knew enough about the reproductive system before reading this book. Turned out I was wrong, as I did not realize just how complex the reproductive system really is. This book gives you tips like how long the sperm can stay alive in a woman's body waiting for the egg. It also tells you about ovulation and when you are ovulating it gives you kind of a "schedule" as my husband would call it for when to have sex to better your odds. It took us just the one month of trying to conceive our daughter. This was a great book to read before trying to conceive

Very helpful! Short, sweet and easy to follow.
I absolutely loved this book. It helped my husband and I get pregnant three times. I've even passed along the information and link to several friends who have been trying to conceive. There is enough information here to give you clear insights into your body without getting bogged down in pages of medical jargon. I highly recommend this book and method. It is clear, concise and comes from a place of experience, rather than outside observation. Deanna is a joy.

This book has a lot of great information on timing of intercourse and great ideas in that arena. However I feel like it is missing some other components for couples having difficulty conceiving. esp if you are dealing with a frustrating diagnosis of unexplained infertility. I will say two books that helped me alot and it was a different take on things was: Inconceivable and Fertile Female by Julia Indichova - The first book was about her story (she has walked in the shoes of infertility and walked out with a healthy baby girl in her arms). The second book was the work that has helped her become pregnant and countless others. I found in those books more information than just what to eat and when to time your intercourse. How to listen to my own body and discover the best the best route for me to meet my baby. I hope this helps. It really did help me when I needed it!

Quick Read.
Pretty good book. Written in a more friendly, less formal fashion. Depending on what your looking for a plus or a minus. If you're looking to find just a bit more insight on this conception method, it's perfect but if you're looking for hard science and in depth research, you won't find it here. Overall a nice little light read.

Pregnant First Try!
Not to make this sound like a miracle cure, and could be a coincidence, but the month we tried this I got a BFP! We'd been trying for 18 months at age 40 so thought we'd give this a shot! At the same time, I'd been on some really powerful supplements (see my other reviews) which included CoQ10 but I do believe the combo helped us :) Worth a try!

Compassionately and positively written
Fabulous book. I recently suffered a miscarriage and for people in the same position, you will know how devastating that is and how alone you can feel in your grief and emotions. This book (and website) provides excellent advise, from women who understand. It's written positively and compassionately and demonstrates a depth of knowledge that comes from true experiences of women trying to and successfully conceiving. It's all succinctly written in just a few pages. Easy to ready and a refreshing change from the clinical advise and detachment sometimes given in the medical field. And it's free ladies which is a rarity on this subject matter.
