Seriously. According to the back cover, there are 291 pages. That's a lot of pages full of scholarly material for you not to be able to know which species are identified and described on which page. The scholarship is probably excellent; the work is peer reviewed. But the lack of pagination means that other scholars cannot give a complete citation to this work, severely limiting its usefulness. It's a vicious circle: without page numbers the work won't be cited by other scholars, so its ranking will be low... If it's possible to reprint or republish with printed page numbers, I strongly advise the author to do it.

This has been one of my best book purchases ever. Anderson does an exceptional job with this book. If you want to learn about mantises, this is the book to do it. You will not be disappointed at all.

Inoltre vengono descritte anche molte caratteristiche biologiche ed etologiche delle varie mantidi! Kris Anderson ha fatto un bellissimo lavoro. Lo consiglio a tutti!
